Well, my question to you is simple. Why do you believe that?  What is your evidence?  And do you have any argument (either deductive or inductive) to support that idea?

assuming this is to me. i simply believe all this, your computer.. your eye, your conscience, could not have happened by luck and random chance and i have already stated my reasons for believing this here and i have said why i believe God just doesnt chill with us on earth here___---Edit---___ohh you edited.. well its there anyway for new ppl to the thread

BECAUSE. All these religions follow the same basic idea. One being creating ALL - They are just percieved differently.Multiple Gods? Thats just man percieving the SAME DEVINE BEING but in many forms.Fat buddha? Again, man percieving the same devine power differently. As for screaming "evidence plz" thats a stupid thing to do in this kind of argument.I haven't seen God. Have you?doesnt mean i dont believe tohugh

nahh.. ive provided arguements for my ideas dude.. im sure you have a reason why you believe that other than "The Pastor said so.." or "My priest said so" you've probably just forgotten.. and no.. i would like you to explain how it is just amn percieving god differently, cause the muslims heard "Kill the JEWS!!!!" while the christians heard "love all people" and how the musilms heard "jesus is a prophet when xtians heard "jesus is the messiah"also with the multiple gods thing.. thats wrong too, greek mythology has there are many gods, not froms of one god.. like Zeus king of the gods, is not the same god as say hera, or hermes... they are totally seperate

Things havent stopped evolving but evolution does take time and you cant ask it to happen before your eye just like I cant ask anyone to show me God. Oh and by the way Buddha isnt worshipped he is just taken as the example of how to live a good life*just like those very interesting idols of jesus on peoples necks*

"No.. that would never hold anything but air... evolution goes against everything christianity is about you cant say that God created humans through a process of evolution because it says in Genesis that GOD CREATED MAN , not God created a bacterium that developed into man.."Yes, the bible said God created man. God knows all, so by creating the bacteria he must of known it would Evolve into man. Thus making it esentially the same thing...

Just because somethings wrong doesnt mean a muslim cant think about it and write a book about it... whats hard to understand about that?dude, just because a muslim wrote something on paper doesnt mean its true. Now, the muslims write alah made everything, he wants us to kill the jewschristians wrote jehovah made everything, he wants us to love everyonehindus wrote ganesh made everything, he wants us to be humbleWe all believe in the same devine being that created everything. we all just interpret how he wants us to act differently

Dude what im saying is that all religion the same basic concept is the same. It's all about a higher power that created all... Now, whats different is that different religions interpret how the higher power wants them to act differently.

Buddhists don't pray to anything! They meditate to try and free their minds *become enlightened*. Its actually kind of cool because you the method you use to achieve enlightenment*ELN* is of your own device. So if you beleive that following the Bibles way of life will allow you to achieve ELN then you can do that, but its usually through meditation.

The buddhists beliefs are kinda weird... Don't they believe that you will be reincarnated untill you find enlightment? When you do, you will accually "die" and become nonexistant and thats what they work towards... i know that sounds weird but thats what i heard. am i wrong?"no.. every religon's concept is NOT the same.. once again greek mythology.. everyone went to the afterlife, whether you worshipped the gods or not.. no heaven, just a hell...."Dude did you read ANYTHING I said? What happens after you die is not the BASIC CONCEPT of a religionIn a religion every religion has a devine or all powerful being. What humans THINK that devine being wants with you when you die will always be totally different. Thats how religions start

When you reach enlightment you do not die you transcend your physical body and reach a higher realm of existence.

His name is Phillip, and he wants you to fly planes into the twin towers."Friend number 2 developes a religion that says "There is a devine being that created all. okay my friend i can see now that you are a new-ager because i've heard this metaphor now about a million times in different ways, liek say the elephant one, my fav new age metaphor:there are three blind men in a room with an elephant (who represents God) one blind man grabs the elephants ear and says "God is big thin and flappy" another says "no you're wrong", holding the elephants leg, "God is big sturdy and thick like a tree" the third stands up and says "no... you're both wrong", having hold of the elephants tail" god is long and stringy, and kinda furry at the edge".. so the story is they all feel what they think is God but are blind to Him so they cant see Him in reality. but that is not true because in the books of the three religons they are hearing totally different things, if one person said them all there is no possible way thier views are that skew, except, that one is the real, and the other two are decieversill brb must make fone call.. stupid dial up

why do people always get sucked into new age? its really stupid. There is only one way to look at god and that way is with love. I dont understand it. Its like if its new everybody whos weak in faith just has to do it.

Heh. This is actually a pretty fun thread. It is starting to make me think of things that I probably woundnt have thought of had I not read people's posts. But, that doesnt mean that I am starting to believe in god.I have to say that you guys have a bit of respect from me for believing in god so strongly. And the same goes to those who try so hard to prove them wrong.

You presuppose that all religions were man-made. Can you prove that? If God exists, could it be that He revealed Himself through a man (Jesus/Buddah/Mohammed, whatever you think) and all the others are twisted lies?
