I mean, after you earn all medals, get S rank on all missionshave all pokemon etc.then what?I really think you eliminate the main goal of the game andremove the "magic". How does it feel?I mean stuff like, winning 1000 skirmish games. Is it really worth all that time? Yea, you get to use all the unlocked stuff and you get the right to bragbut the good feeling fades out sooner or later.who backs me on this? who doesn't?

It all depends on if the game is multiplayer or not. If it's single player, you're just wasting your time. If it's multiplayer its good to master because you can never stop owning ppl with ur skills lol

For me, finishing 100% is like slavery after a point. I once got 99% in my PSP NFS Carbon game. I had to break boxes to unlock content and had around 3 more to go. Since the map is huge and the number of boxes being around 120, it got impossible for me to get 100% and I got sick and tired of playing it. For some people, it's a challenge waiting to be faced. For people like me, it's like work. It's just a personal view and it's value lies only in the eyes of the beholder.

Well it really depends for me. If i like the game then i do so but if not then i dont. I usually perfect a game i like or if its required for a different ending but i dont think there are games which require perfection for some secret ending or something.

I usually don't think it's worth it to do everything single thing in a game unless it's your favorite game, because completing a game 100% most likely means you have to do multiple runs through it, which just takes too much time for me. The whole point of games is to have fun, and if I was playing a game that I only thought was alright, then I definitely wouldn't try very hard to get 100%.

i don't do it to brag, and i'm also not a perfectionist.. but i like to complete a game fully because i think it just feels good to finish something fully. for example, i beat final fantasy xiii months and months ago, started working on my last three achievements, and quit the game until about a week ago. then i dove in in full force, maxed everyone out, killed a long gui and collected every accessory/weapon. i just felt good about it later. it builds perseverance.

i guess it really depends on the game :( there are some games where, the level of difficulty required to perfect everything isn't really worth it in the long run. than there's games like, for me, kingdom hearts, where while perfecting everything is still kinda hard, the battle mechanics i find fun enough to be worth it nontheless ^^

Hmm, depends on the game in my opinion, but most of the time I do that... too bad I get bored of it after awhile, so I wasted my effort, but meh, at least I tried.

It depends on whether you enjoy it or not. If you do enjoy it, then you should. If you don't, then it might end up just wasting your time.

In reality, it's just a game, you accomplished nothing in real life but its worth is plainly for self-satisfaction.

I sometimes do this in a game.

I kind of agree because after you have unlocked everything the magic of replayability is diminished. But it is worth the while to have the feeling of perfecting a game. Good question.

I have a major completionist streak. While I know that I pretty much won't touch a game after completing it 100%, I can't stop myself. The only exception there is Pokemon; never going to catch all of them. 500 is around 400 too many for me.

not really. Ill only do that if the game is really fun to 100% which isnt often the case.

It's not worth it at all. As soon as the storyline is over, it's time to move on.

I agree with most of what everyone says here, that it depends on the game. Sometimes completing ALL the challenges is fun, and sometimes it's just a luck-based chore. But as for moving on once the storyline is over? What about extra content? I know that there's plenty to do in any Pokemon game after you've faced down the Elite Four/Champion/Bad Guy of the Day, and there are more games besides that contain post-credits content.

I used to try to find/do everything in a game, but now that I'm older I just hang loose and find what I find. If I don't get everything then it leaves more replay value if I decide to go through it again. I might take a different path or find different or new things on a subsequent play through.
Just fly by the seat of your pants and what will be will be.
