who else is going to buy their ps3 after a year or so, because your waiting for more games for this new franchise? and if you have already bought a ps3, why did you? have any information on ps3 games that i'm just not seeing, could you provide names and links, thanks.

I may get one at a later date, however I only wanted one system at launch and that was wii, because of the Zelda title at launch. PS3 has never grabbed me with any particularly interesting titles as of now, so... I may be in your boat.

I don't think that getting one now will be a good idea, I definitely will wait at least a year to get mine, and I think that the PS3 price will be dramatically reduced within this period....

I was going to wait, but I suddenly fond myself with a bit of extra money, so i thought why not. And i bought it. It was definatly worth the money.

Wait a few years. let the bugs were ironed out, good games come in.Also lower production costs so the PS3 won't cost as much after a few years.

i think its only a question of the price, if you buy the ps3 on release or one years later. because i think nobody will buy ps3 later because there are more games...every week you can purchase new games so i think the price is the only point.

I bought my ps3 about 2 weeks ago. What I found out after was that the 40gb is not being made any more 
I got the 80gb Which has backward compatibility. The new one wasn't supposed to have a great backward compatibility if any, so if I were to buy a ps3 now I would get the 80gb again. I got it for the games Lair and Heavenly Sword. Lair was ok...I was a bit dissapointed and Heavenly Sword was short and again was dissappointed. Then I just got Warhawk which is Online play only but it's great and I am not dissappointed but as of this moment I would have waited to get it now that I think about it for better games that i'd like which are all gonna be coming out soon or around christmas and another price drop of about $50 at christmas. Now about the compatibility I heard this from a my friend which is more up to date with this stuff than I am. I myself am currently/have been looking into the matter and would suggest you do the same to find out about it than go from what I just put here. Also, and this may not be appropiate for this topic but if you are getting a headset don't get the logitec headset unless you know what it's compatible with. I have to take mine back cause it's not so Compatible lol. I think the only other option is the bluetooth headset which is about double the price. $49.99. I hope this helps anyone with there ps3 decisions.

waiting a little bit isnt a bad idea... it gaves the company some time to fix any errors the system pay have and the price drops as well... and then theres more games too.. so waiting a while is always good...

I'm not buying a PS3 anytime soon. The only time I would suggest buying one is if they make a PS3 slim. 'cause RIGHT NOW, the thing is freaking gigantic.

I'm gonna wait til some more games come out. There isn't much to choose from right now. Hopefully in a couple of months some really good games will come out and the price will drop too
