Play Tribes for PS2 but play it on the PS3! If you are looking for multiplayer, than that is the game for you!

the game that looks closest to Halo would have to been Haze. it has bright colors like Halo and just has that Halo feel to it. Sadly Haze plays terrible and is more of a halo knockoff.

Resistance Fall of Man is the only one like halo. It has aliens and guns and guns shooting at aliens. Oh and blood can't forget that.

there isn't one yet but the ratchet and clank series always has multi player games that are sort of like HALO.

A game like Halo for PS3 is Resistance: Fall of Man (I didn't like it) and HAZE.

so you're looking for an overrated game that is overhyped and doesn't deserve the attention it gets? nope nothing like that on ps3. if you want some great games, try out mgs4, resistance FoM, warhawk, soul calibur 4, and folklore. those are all great games.

buy resistance: fall of man. great game takes place in WW2, but has aliens, and some gun are futuristic.
R:FOM is the closest there is and is a great game. Has aliens like Halo.I wish there would be because i like halo

resistance is probably as close as you are going to get. killzone (yet to be released) is supposed to be a "halo killer"

Well if your a person who likes FPSs then PS3 is most definently your system ( their the majority of the freakin' game library.) So far I've played most of them on the system and the game that came closest to the Halo series in general in my opinion was Resistance 2. They have some similarities between them, besides the fact that their are no vehicles online in Res2. You can also have to 60 people on certain maps:)

You could wait for timesplitters 4. or get resistance. OH. I Know! fallout its got aliens and mutants like halo.OH!!!You could get Timesplitters 2, or Timesplitters: Future Perfect for the PS2, and play them on the PS3... those are some pretty fun FPS's, made by the same people who made GOLDEN EYE FOR 64 (and it shows). B)

I recommend waiting until resistance 2 comes out. That's gonna be a heck of a game. Unless it's already out. I don't really keep up with the times. -.-

Resistance 2 and UT3 are a lot like halo if you are into those types of shooters. It would always be good to look into Call of duty 4 and waw, many people have switched from halo 3 to cod4
