Hmm, I've got my mixed feelings on this. I really don't like some of the new art for the characters (Marth looks so weird ._.). But Sheeda and Ellis both looked really nice. The graphics look a bit iffy too. Having played FE3, I can't say how I feel about these new characters like Freyr. But speaking of FE3, it would be really nice to see more character development for a number of characters who got barely any lines in FE3. On that note, I'm hoping that this remake will include the support system. That would be awesome. Personally, though, I'm not sure if I'm for the idea of a localization. The canon always changes in FE localizations (I really don't know why...) and I guess I just prefer things with a smaller fanbase. ...a little off-topic, but if they're going to make a remake of FE1/3 and possibly localize it, I'd really love to see them do the same for FE4.

I loved FE7 so much that I replayed it about 5 times I think. Sadly, my interest in the series is fading ever since FE8-FE10 came out, since IMO they are sorta boring. =/ Either that, or the gameplay is just getting old to me. I dunno which it is.

Ahhh I had no idea a FE was coming out for the DS. I've only played the two for GBA, I still haven't played the one for the GC

I'm a huge FE fan! The DS version is gunna kick ass. If it is a remake I hope they're going to add some new features or some nice unlockable characters

Sweet! Didn't think they would make a FE game for the DS considering they already created a game for Game Cube and Wii because bringing one out for the DS is kind of a downgrade. But who cares, im not complaining. I haven't played the early FE games so im looking forward to the release.. Anyone know when the release date is?

People have been craving for FE being on DS, I guess it should satisfy their desirs. From what I can see from the screenies, it seems graphics are a better than on GBA but the whole tactics part should remain as it was... why do you find fire emblem so goodPOINTS were deducted for this post by hookshot-Please refer to the forum rules to find out why your points were deducted.IGN's Fire Emblem DS pageSo now it's confirmed.I link to IGN because they put up links to official media on their site, so there's usually less speculation and rumours flying around, and game developers eem to like talking to them, so you can get the official word on stuff.Anyways, apparently it's a remake of the [Conflicting reports on if it the 1st or 3rd game] game, the one with Marth.As you can see from the screenshots (currently) up on IGN, similar battle animation style, but the story bits in between are now a sort of pseudo-3d.I'm more curious as to whether they'll incorporate all the new stuff from FE and FE: SS on the GBA and plant it into this remake.What are you guys eager about?

Even though this is just a improved port of the first FE game and not FE 3. It is better than nothing. I would have like a new story but seeing as no one in NA got to play the game unless they have the ROM i will take it. But the graphics are not to my liking it looks like a Monster Rancher game with its 3rd graphics not the old GBA graphics but not a lot of people like the GBA FE games.

I really hope they stick with 2D sprites. The 3Dish models we've seen in the preview shots (battle animation) look horrible.
