*Rolls Eyes* Good God help me, we already have flying unicorns *looks at pegasus and FalconKnights* and vampires and werwolves ummm yeah no. I can't wait for this remake seeing Marth and Roy in Melee got me to look into FE and basically into the series, I'm stoked to play this. Oh and for a release date wait untill its at least released in Japan to ask for it.

i just want to play as Roy : )IGN's Fire Emblem DS pageSo now it's confirmed.I link to IGN because they put up links to official media on their site, so there's usually less speculation and rumours flying around, and game developers eem to like talking to them, so you can get the official word on stuff.Anyways, apparently it's a remake of the [Conflicting reports on if it the 1st or 3rd game] game, the one with Marth.As you can see from the screenshots (currently) up on IGN, similar battle animation style, but the story bits in between are now a sort of pseudo-3d.I'm more curious as to whether they'll incorporate all the new stuff from FE and FE: SS on the GBA and plant it into this remake.What are you guys eager about?

the DS functions are great for a fire emblem game that is atleast what i think. maybe they arent going to use the buttons in this one.

Fire emblem is only for nintendos consoles so it wont come out on xbox 360.

Another thing to think about is the fact that they didn't have all the same classes as some of the newer ones. So will the classes be the same as the first, or will they put in some of the newer classes too? Also, how many tiers of classes are there on this one? Radiant Dawn has an extra tier of classes, and FESS had the whole Trainee class thing, so will they put in any new characters, and how will they make the storyline different, how will they improve this game and make it better than the original, besides graphical updates and some features from newer games? How about some new characters? That would be a nice addition. Also, some extra missions would be cool too. Of course, I happen to believe that a remake must set itself apart from the original to do exceptionally well in the market, though this one does have the fact that it was never released stateside in its favor. A lot of people who play Fire Emblem games today have never played the original. My best friend doesn't even believe that Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones are the 7th and 8th games. He thinks they're the 1st and 2nd. When I showed him Marth and Roy on Smash Bros.: Melee, he said they are hiddin characters in Fire Emblem. So maybe it won't have to distinguish itself too much from the original. I'm just glad it is finally coming our way- and it is, because they would be insane not to bring it this way.
Just to let you know, Roy isn't in this one. He is in in Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi which is the 6th in the series, and the only handheld Fire Emblem not released in the States. Also, Fire Emblem 7, the first FE released stateside is actually the prequel to Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi, so if you want to play as Roy, buy this game, and maybe one day they will release #6 elsewhere. I heard the story is a bit boring compared to Path of Radiance. I don't have it since I don't have Wii, but as a fan of the FE series, I'd love to play it.Oh its going to be good, did you play the wii version? Its pretty epic. I like the story alot.

They have a translated version of FE6 somewhere on the internet but I cant tell you. FE DS will be a remade version of FE1. I hope Marth owns in this one.
