Here is a topic i would really like to hear some feedback on from real gamers. I myself owned a Super Nintendo and have played it more then any other system ive owned, and ive had a fair share of them. I've been a nintendo fan up to the N64 when i switched to Sony and got a PS2 over the Gamecube. So what do you people think of this old rivalry?

I don't care what you are doing, so much
as the idiotic way that you are doing it.

SNES dominated the Genesis. Sure it had it's moments, Sonic and Gunstar Heroes, but the SNES just had so much more. RPGs and games from Nintendo

Snes hands down, Sega never really had a good system overall but the games it made were good. Sega should of just made games rather than make systems, sure Dreamcast had its moments but it just took an 180 degree turn

I owned an SNES and I played at my friends house for Genesis. SNES def was better. One problem I had with the Gen was pulling off Street Fighter moves with only 3 buttons! It was so frustrating cuz I only played fighters back then.

It depended what you liked, if you liked RPGs and Action and shooter games u would go with the SNES, if u like sports and fighting games u go with the Sega also Sega won on the grapics war, sure they are the same bits but look what came out for Sega, mortal kombat, batman and robin the movie which graphics were suning all that came out for SNES with good graphics was DK.

True true, I forgot about that. Some of the games have pretty good grapics. Like Phantasy Star 4, when I played that on my emu and looks at the status pics I could of sworn it was a cartoon anime.

SNES wins, but just like with consoles like the Dreamcast and even the XBOX(some might say) the Genesis had games that dominated their genres, such as Gunstar Heroes and the Shining Force games.

Genesis was a good piece of hardware and had good games on it like The sonic series, Golden Axe, and Zool but it was clear from the start that the SNES would have kicked its donkey since it had all those great RPGs and Mario. Yet i was sorry to see it the Genesis go. I never owned a Snes But i did a genesis so i might be a bit byest ;)

star ocean.. that was only released in japan... star ocean aint really a "classic" in anywhere but the US...but yeah, snes for sure truely awsome games and everything else. genesis was really good too, lots of classics but just not as many. infact i actually use to own a genesis before the snes!

SNES is God compared to Sega. the only game i ever enjoyed from sega was Joe Montana's Football. and SNES came out with all of Final Fantasies Greatest Games 2 or 4 and 3 or 6.

I hearted my Megadrive, (and still do), Infact I was a little Sega dweeb until they quit the console business, and then I still only defected to Nintendo for Sonic. And now just to screw with me a bit more Sega decide not to make a Sonic for PS3 and 360 but no Rev :D So now I've either got to drop my grudge against Sony for finishing off Segas consoles, (not gonna happen) or stop hating Microsoft for creating the most irritating operating system on the planet :D
