i pick the genesis. i realy dont like nintendo old systems and im not a big fan of there current system (gc) they milk there franchisis. any way ill pick da genesis over the snes n e day.

Snes of course, the snes has nice smooth color but the pixels are definatly better then genisis.

See here, superballs has a sensible and effective post. To all those who just posted "SNES 4 t3h win, it has *insert game here*" yeah, thats great, it shows you have not thought at all on the issue, and you're just some fanboy.I personally, think neither are better. The sega megadrive is a fond memory, as I got it before the snes. Personally, I liked my megadrive better, as we never really got many games for our SNES anyway. The only reason Sega ever lost out to Nintendo, was poor marketing. It wasnt because their consoles were crap, it was because they didn't market them very well. That was the issue with the Dreamcast, it was a great system, but poor marketing and not enough games, it couldn't get itself off the ground in some places (but did very well in other places).

Snes has a lot better games than Sega has. for example Chrono Trigger and FF6.

Genesis actually had many great RPGs, they just aren't as famous. But don't think that Shining Force doesn't have its devotees out there, somewhere...

phantasy star, shining force, Mortal Kombat, and DK (+sports games and i hate to say it but sonic) =sega wins hands down. better graphics faster processor and more developer support made it the best system in its genre

I only owned the Sega Genesis so I was all for it back then. However, now that I play a bunch of these old games on emulators I admit defeat to the superior SNES.

itīs a matter of tasteif you love system 16 sega arcades stuff and original plataformers,genesis is your consoleif you like history and exploration,snes is your consolebut if you re a game freak,have both and be happy :3

totally the SNES, the sega genesis had cool advertising (lol yes i still remember advertisements from that long ago) but super nintendo had better games though.

I like Super Nintendo because it had some good games (Mario AllStars, Mario RPG, etc...) . I like the Nintendo logo and controller design more than the Sega's Design.

snes all ways better, hey genesis gpu can't support 3d poligons, snes do it with the superfx chip and also look at the music, i love snes music...genesis' suck :rofl2:
