This may sound sad but when Pokemon diamond came out in the Japan me and my mate got it and decided we would battle each other every day. so we did that and after about 1 week of doing so we got bored. then he had a crazy idea that we should see how long we could play it in a day. I remember in a french lesson I was playing on it and my teacher what was lady in french, at the time I was battling the 5th leader gym leader and I remembered that she was called what ever it was( yes I am amazing at french) and got it right 
. and i think the record was this guy in my class who no one like got the whole day ( apart from moving for lessons) when we could only manage 20-40 minuets a day

I haven't been caught playing it in class... but one day my teacher brought his kid to school, and the kid was sitting quietly in the back playing a DS. His DS died, and he went to complain to his dad, and one of the boys in class whipped a charger out of his backpack for the kid. It was pretty epically nerdy and it made me wish I had mine with me.

Didn't get my DS until after I finished HS. But, awful as this sounds, I HAVE taken it to church before.

I usually play my DS on my way or going back home from school.I've played it once in my Conversational Malay class (the teacher is goddamn boring) and weell I didn't get caught XDD.Hmm mebbe I'll try it again next time >

I used to get caught all the time in my Chemistry class last year. The teacher was really nice though, so she never took it away. She'd just tell me to put it away and we'd usually end up repeating the process every day, with a few exceptions.

Never took my DS to school, I was wise enough. You see, when you bring something interesting and new to my school, you have people crowding over you begging you to let you play/use it, so I never did bring anything like that.

No. My teacher is way to dumb to see me and my best friend versing each other on Pokemon. We have the DS hidden in our desks and We are playing. Miss walks past, checking that everyone is 'on task' and she doesn't notice! LOL

Nope. My DS is much too precious for me to take to school, afterall. It's given me many great memories, and some not-so-great. I suppose it's just that I'm paranoid someone'll steal them, I suppose. Hehe.

I do not believe that gaming is a waste of time. One can learn alot of things from video gaming, but please note your parents are in charge of you and set the rules for you to follow if you are underage or live under their roof or the same in their home with them. Do not mess with the rules of your parents, share the positive statements about gaming with them and encourage them to learn about the good gaming does for ones problem skills and math skills and enhance the reflexes one has too and enhances reading comprehension if there is alot of text in the game content. I encourage you to sit down and talk with your parents and show them all the plus factors there is to gaming, but do not game in your classroom if that is a golden rule at your house and you live with your parents good luck teaching your parents all the positives there all. You never know you may turn your parents into gaming junkies you never know. Good Luck. Hope to see you gaming real soon or see your parents gaming side by side with you. I have never done it but my friend got caught one time, it was hilarious. He didnt even get in trouble (we are in college) the teacher was just like "wow, your never going to get any girls playing with that" he never brought it again

My teacher's noticed that I was playing in class, but he didn't care - he has some sort of philosophy that if you don't want to study, it's not his problem when you fail the exams. I think he's a good teacher.

a few years ago the whole bus would take the ds out on the bus and do mario kart of pictochat it was so fun
