depends.single player is better on GH.Rock band is a much better multiplayer game.and the guitar on GH is better too.like on Sabotage, which is in both games, the guitar part on GH was way better than it was on Rock Band.so. depends I guess.and if my rock band drum set isnt compatible with the new GH, I'll be angry. nothing screams nerd like having TWO fake drum sets in your house.

I choose Guitar Hero because RB seems overated, want to sing? Get singstar or American Idol? Want to drum? Whip out 2 pencils, want some effects, when you drum? Go you Youtube. Not my highest ratings but RB has more like, pop songs, If I'm correct, yet it still choose GH. But. Never trying the DS one it looks randomly weird..

Rock Band hands down. Guitar Hero stopped being fun. It became more about the craziest stuff that you can pull off on a mock guitar's fretboard. Plus, the companies that make Guitar Hero obviously are just capitalists. I mean honestly Guitar Hero Aerosmith? That is a sign that Activision and RedOctane are just money hungry game makers who don't care about the quality of their games, only the money they can make.

From wat I heard, the new Guitar Hero will have drums with it and they will be more sensitive than Rock Band like if you just tap the drum you will get a differnt sound than if you pound away on it.

Rock Band.... Because you get the opportunity to play more controllers (like drums) than just the "guitar".Maybe the new Guitar hero will get a drumming system in it, but I would still stick to Rock Band because you can still sing or play bass guitar, which the bass guitar is my favorite instrument than the hard main guitar.

Rock Band is great when you are with a party of people, loads of fun. but when you are by yourself, Guitar Hero is the MUCH better game. The songs on Guitar Hero are a lot better. And I like career mode a lot better on GH rather than Rock Band.

right now i think that rock band is better, because you can make sweet band membersand you can use drums and singbut i think it will be a close call between the two when rock band world tour comes out

I say Guitar Hero because of some of these facts:The idea was brought out before Rock Band e.g. GH1, GH2, GH3, and all the updates with it.It has sold more copies, and features rock legends.It features rock legends, songs, and more!Guitar Hero is more well known than Rock Band.It cost less, and the shipping is easier.

as for just the guitar aspect guitar hero is alot better, the songs and the actual guitar controllerbut when you talk about rockband on the whole it is alot better being able to sing and play the guitar at the same time O_Oand drums r fun toorock band gives you the chance to be in every part of a band, not just guitar

Well, if you wanna play guitar, stick with guitar hero. But if you wanna have a good party game with friends I'd get rock band. Personally I like both =P.

Does noone here even know anything about the two games? People talk about Guitar Hero being the ones who started it.. while that is somewhat true, it isn't even the same company making the games now.In essence the TRUE Guitar Hero 3 IS Rock Band. Harmonix, the company who made Rock Band is also the company who made Guitar Hero 1 and 2. Activision, in an attempt to take the market bought the rights to Guitar Hero and since 3 has essentially destroyed the series. (More notes than needed, excessive difficulty for nothing more than a challenge.)Now, Activision (Guitar Hero) are the ones who are the copy cats.. they are coming out with Guitar Hero World Tour, which is nothing more than a clone of Rock Band! For anyone who supports the original, then you need to get your facts straight and support Rock Band.
