The slim just feels better after using both. Plus it does seem to run a bit faster.

I think that the slim feels a little too light. A mistake Sony also made with their PS3 controllers. It feels like a kid's toy, or that I could break it just by holding it wrong. The original PSP however feels strong and sturdy, and with the bulkiness it brings reassurance that it's not going to break in half while I'm playing it. I also like that the original PSP's back doesn't attract fingerprints or smears. I like clean things, and the slim irritates me to no end because of the jewel back looking smeared. Other than that, the slim definitely has faster load times and is more compact, which is very important when we're talking about a hand held system.Preferably, old PSP for comfort.

I think the PSP Slim and Phat are good and bad in some ways but are quite equal. For the phat, you have a lot more homebrew capabilties, and the PSP Phat is a little heavier, and makes it feel expensiver. Also it is muck easier to pandora. But being heavier makes it easier to drop and Phat PSPs are hard to replace because there are barely any still in the packaging. The Slim is much lighter and feels like your holding a cheap plastic toy you got at the dollar store. You can't take out the analog stick to replace it with one that has a cooler design or better grip. Also the UMD compartment is more fragile and accessable, revealing most of the insides to dirt and dust. Both batteries work in a slim, pandora-d or not. I have a slim and i used to have a phat so i think i have spent enough time with both to say Phat is better!!!!! LOL ^_^

I really preferred the PSP phat but the store near where I live doesn't seem to the Phat version so I end up buying the PSP Slim. In my opinion, there not much difference between them that worth considering. It just a matter of the weight and the feel of the system that you should consider when buying.

btw 1.50 kernel isnt possible on slim, only 1.50 with 3.40 modules combined :DI like both, but the fat just a little bit more :Dthe phat one for some homebrew (1.50) and the infrared appsthe slim one since it has more ram indeed, and it has something to do with "user mode" (google it).well both have their advantages

My bro has thew original and i have the Slim, its like the DS and DS Lite, just not so contrating, the psp slim has better specs and the UMD holder look like you could pop a tape in their and listen to your fav old artist :(
