i like games like mario kart where technically u can finish and open all secrets in one day, but you can still compete with others after completing the game so it wont seem like you've wasted your DPs etc

I think I would like a longer game better then a shorter game. Imo, it would be more fun.

sometimes people dont have time to spend on video games. that's when shorter games are more appealing.

If the games are short, I would be expecting other stuff it has like mini-games etc.If possible, the best games would be an ultra-long 50-hour ones with the storyline expanding to that. Hopefully it can be on DS. The FF12:RW is probs 13 hours or so.

FIFTY hours? listen man im all for the long deatile stroylines but...50 hours? do u mean like total playing time? god how long would it take some one to finish a game like that?

If a game is good enough for me to spend that much time on it, such as oblivion. Then it's worth playing. But a game like CoD4, which has a short singleplayer, is still extremely good. Short or long, the real matter at hand is the quality of the game. Graphics are good, but overall quality is what is needed.

I prefer longer games that require a few weeks, it gives me plenty of time to actually sit back and enjoy everything the game has to offer. Plus the biggest thing for me is the story so a longer game means a longer story, so i get more out of a game that way.

Some short games are good, like tetris. But I like to spend a couple weeks leveling my character before I finish. It gives a higher sense of satisfaction.

short games are a waste, games should be long enough so that you can enjoy for more than a week

Short games are fine, but the long ones are more intriguing. They also die of repetition. good game length is hard to find.

I generally only play the longer games. It disappoints me when a game such as LoZ:Minish Cap is beatable easily in a day or two.

Well, i chose 'a game that takes a few weeks+ (ie: any and all final fantasy games)'. Final fantasy V comes to the top of my list. Normally, I'd rather choose those which last around a week. It depends what kind of person you are. Those who are patient, and like long stories should go for 5 days or more games. It also depends on how good we are. On the other hand, if you are the kind of person that is inpatient, like games that end fast(in short, short stories) should get the short games. I may be inpatient a little, but i DO NOT like short stories. So i normally go for long ones, (golden sun, final fantasy)

I prefer games that takes a few days to beat cause if games take too long to beat, I'd get bored of them cause it's the same concept of the game over and over....A few days is good because that way, i can know more about the game during the days and not get bored of it quickly...

Final Fantasy has me in love with games that take time to finish, rather than the latter, games where you can just finish it and have to wait a long time before you forget exaclty how it felt and replay it again. I think Long games are worth the money...if youre paying...

Actually, Pokemon games BEFORE Gold and Silver were pretty time consuming as well.It all depends on what I feel like playing at the time...as well as how good the gameplay is.

Both are good, depending on your mood. I like games which are mostly combinations of mini-games, that have a lot of end content, so that you can play them in short bursts, but there is a lot to do to utterly beat the game. Warioware, for example. It's all minigames, but there is the objective of getting the gold crowns for everyone, and that, I think, is fun and/or rewarding.

kingdom hearts 2 cost me 14 bucks and i beat in three weeks, so it was definity woth it, i aso bought kh2 andbeet that in 4 weeks, the loger games def are better

Me personally, I'd like a game that lasts a few weeks OR a game that can last hundreds of hours. Short games just aren't my taste because they tend to either be too difficult (e.g. Top Gun and Karate Kid for NES) or end just as I was getting into it.Pokemon definately can kill many hours levelling up and trying to get all of them and even the later Dragon Quest games take time trying to master all the "classes" in the game. Other games such as the zeldas and any first person shooters are definately entertaining for me and I don't even mind going at them for multiple playthroughs from time to time.
