Yes, loads of times. Whenever I feel that the game is not progressing quickly enough, I just start to mash the buttons relentlessly.

I do feel that way, especially playing Ouedan on the part you have to rotate the circle. There have been no ill effects to speak so far, but I'm constantly cleaning it and checking my settings.

Yeah me too. Especially when i got frustrated with a game. Like Elite Beat Agents when you have to spin the circle so fast..

I've never really felt like that. But then again, I haven't really played any serious tapping games...Personally, I found that having a screen protector did me more harm than good since it often prevented my stylus from being detected, so I kept it off.Even without a protector, my touch screen seems to be doing fine.

i worry about it especially with certain games....i got the screen protector but wondered if it would affect the reaction time? i will keep using one though as i dont want to break it and i hate seeing scratched or scuffed screens....think i need to be a bit more delicate when tapping and swirling lol

I cant tell if i hit hard or not but im pretty sure i do hit too hard. What I really dont like it is when i watch people play ds and they hit really hard and it gets really annoying.

Yes and that's why I worry about the screen being cracked.

I totally thought I would break my screen when playing pokemon ranger. <3 Trying to catch those tough pokemon had me circling the ds a tad too hard sometimes when I get a little too excited. Thank god the screen's still fine and working!

About the DS breaking, it is not possible to avoid. Soon enough the hinges will break.

For a while thats why i didn't get a DS, however mine was free and i use now a lot.It also depends on the game your playing, considering what it is might also be an indication to how much or how hard you should "push" on the screen :)

Im usually more worried about the buttons, since the touch screen can handle more that you expect. But that is what the stylus is for anyway right? I dont think I have ever damaged a touch screen, so no.

Using a stylus overcomes the screen protector problem. You learn to keep it between your fingers while you're playing after a while.
