I don't think downloading music 4 free should be illegal. Musicians make plenty of money with touring and appearances that selling a couple more albums isn't going to kill them. If u name a band that had 2 break up because free downloading hurt them financially then maybe I'd reconsider.

Since EVERYTHING is for free downloadable these days.I.E.musicmoviesanimemangabookssoftwarehardwarevideo games :) As long as people aren't charging for their products, I see only a little (okay, maybe a bit) of harm in that.

It's a complex argumentPiracy has always moved the industry forward, yes it takes profits away, but it's near impossible to stop.

I think downloading complete cd's should be illegal but it shouldn't be illegal to download one or two song from every CD.

I prefer buying cds. I only download one or two songs to check out an artist and buy their cd if I really like it.

It should be illegal, because bands and artists do not make a lot of money at all, but will that stop people from downloading, no it won't.

Narh, it shouldn't be.I reckon that if you really like them, you will go out and by the CD. Not because you "want to support the artist so or poo like that," but because you REALLY like them and just wanna have their catologue on CD, with the nice album art, booklet and CD you can pop into the CD player and the nice home system set up. But you know, if you only like the band but still want to have their music, but you don't like them enough to actually by their CD I reckon downloading is very good. For example, I got a quite a few of Led's music, and now I'm going to buy their "Mothership" remastered album, becuase I love them so much

u have to consider the fact that not many ppl are that noble, and look at what radiohead did, even though ppl still willingly paid for the music, it pales in comparsion to the amt of ppl that didn't...but i do agree that it shouldn't be illegal based on the flawed logic that music should be free...

if downloading is available to us, it shouldnt be illegal. if ppl really cared about ppl downloading music, theyd actually do something about itanyway, if bands desperately needed the money they could just do live shows, thats when the big bucks roll inP.S - this forum reminds me of that episode of south park...

It is unfair to the artist of the song, unless they're paid an agreeable amount. so Yes, it should be illegal unless it's fair.
