Somewhat. I usually read a bit first before deciding to borrow or purchase it though.

I would be lying if I said never judge a book by its cover but I tend to ignore what my mind's thinking and get to know a person before 'judging'

what kind of stereotypes you have.

That if someone types like a two-year-old, they're probably stupid.I don't judge someone, but it's hard not to if they've got some kind of glaring character flaw that stands out.

This is a difficult question to answer, because people make split-second subconscious judgments about each other all the time, without realizing it. A person's body language alone can send all kinds of signals, that you make instant judgments about. I try not to judge a person based on superficial things like race or gender. But once someone opens their mouth, that's when my opinion of them begins to form.

I judge books by their covers sometimes, but I try not to.. Now, people, I wait to see what they're like before I make a decision. P:

I try not to...But I don't think it's possible to not do it sometimes.I try and find out exactly what the person is like before saying whether or not I like them. I do it based on their personality.

I do. The thing people hate about stereotypes is that they're usually true.I give the 'book' a chance to prove me wrong, but it's rare that I am.

i judge actual books by their covers because if the cover catches my eye it's a good boy, atleast in my experience that's how it's been.however metaphorically i do not judge books by their covers

Wow. Gee, this is a question I haven't thought about in a long time... The only thing I consciously consider about people is the way they talk to me and treat me. It honestly hasn't occured to me in so long, up until now, that people still make judgements on outside appearances like that. I really don't see how anyone could. But that's probably just naive old me not taking into consideration the power of human nature.

Sometimes. Mostly because I don't know better. That's why I encourage people to correct me. I do it enough to them.

I try not too. I used to a lot, and I think I'm getting better at not doing it so much. To some degree it's inevitable. Even if it isn't negative stereotyping, people still subconsciously do it.

We learnt about stereotypes at skool and did a survey to evryone in class. We got asked the same quesiton and evry1 said yes. I was juz wonderin what you guys think and what kind of stereotypes you have. (This'll help me too cuz I have to write a four page essay on it *(how am i goin to do this)* and so far I only have 2 and a half).

I think they are around for a reason.

Stereotyping? Yeah I do, and I'm not exactly ashamed of it. The truth is, in my opinion stereotyping is nothing more then making inferences based on prior experiences. I mean if you know a lot about one person and meet someone like them, isn't it natural to take into account you previous knowledge and build on it? That is what I feel stereotyping is, my problem is when people accept stereotypes as fact. I know that not everyone acts the way I will predict them to, and by no means consider it true. Not all kids who wear black are depressed, but there are those that are and regardless of how I morally feel about it I assume that most people who do are.I think there are stereotypes for a reason, but I do realize there are more to a person then what they appear and what I think at first. >< Erm, that kinda makes no sense. I guess I mean I do but I don't at the same time.
