I actually don't just a book by its cover. I have many friends of different nationalities. I don't like to be stereotyped, so I don't setereotype.

Yes I do. That's why people paid a graphic designer a fair amount to create a very highly tempting cover for their books. Because naturally people do judge a book by its cover.

Most of the time. I sometimes put down a book after predicting it's story by it's cover or title. But sometimes, I open and read the first page/chapter to see if my prediction is true.

I do sometimes stereotype. When I'm at school, I almost do it all the time. I'm in a child development class and I expect it to be all girls. The reason is because it deals with kids and I don't think a lot of guys like this suject, and to my suprise there are a few guys in my class!

I sometimes judge a book by it's covers due to it's title. Just by it's title, I can predict what's going to happen. But I SOMETIMES/rarely read the first page or so to find out if my prediction is correct.

Everyone stereotypes, it's just ingrained in human nature by the society we live in. I try not to by first reactions to people and things are often unavoidable.

People judge well especially when they are consciously doing so. Most of the time though there's not much surprises that its ok to judge a book by its cover.

That's why books are usually printed with as interesting a cover as they can get - because people DO judge them by it. Human nature and whatnot. With people, on the other hand, I don't look down on them for being from any particular race or creed - I have a saying; "Stupid comes in every color."I hate people who act like **** morons, and lord knows there's PLENTY of those.

I used to back when I was in elementary and middle school. But once you get to high school, you kind of start growing out of it, I mean, it's not like you even get to pick your books anymore anyway. Seriously though, some of them have like the creepiest cover ever, it's scary enough to have to carry them around everyday.

I try not to, but sometimes you can't help it. Like, when there's the stereotypical black gangsta, the smart Asian, the wangsta white guy, etc...

I definitely have them. When I hear about a certain kind of person, a particular image forms in my mind. I'm not actively trying to stop it, but I don't make public my thoughts, so I don't really see any harm in it.
