I like both, but I'll typically go for real-time games before I go for turn-based games.

I like real time better, expands your strategies, so you can improvise, or just wing it

well, im bad under pressure, and i think things out fairly slowly, so turn based is better for me, since you can take your time

I like classic turn based games...esp when they are those more rpg/strategy hyrbid games..but Kingdom hearts was great...and its always a tad offputting when you know your about to die and your just waiting for the fateful enemy turn to hurry up.. =]

Well even FF is starting to seperate from turn based, look at FF XII, its still slightly turn based, but i dont think FF XIII is supposed to be...

I never really liked the FF series at all. I went for others like Super Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger both Turn and Realtime (well partly) respectively. However, my all out favorite realtime is Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst. I recommend that people try this game.

I honestly prefer turn-based ones. I agree that real time is much cooler, but when playing them usually I end up either panicking and making mistakes, or concentrating on doing damage whilst forgetting about my characters' health. I would like to try more real time rpg's though.

i prefer the turned based fighting, i cant really explain why, but i think turned based is more original. i got used to turn stile, and i will always prefer turn still.

Pretty much what happens to me too...

I Think Turn-based RPGs are better because they offer more strategy and equipment or abitlities learned really has an effect on the game. I highly enjoy both styles though.
