I like both of them. However, right now I enjoy real time more than turn based. It requires more interaction i suppose.

I've always preferred turn based but the battle system used in FF XII is quite good and it's more action oriented, but still i like turn based better.

with the aproach of both Kingdom hearts 2 and final fantasy 12, i was just wondering which style of RPG you like..... i like them both, but i think i like real time better

Kingdom Hearts 2 was fun but I like the story line for Final Fantasy 12 better.

The one I prefer is Real time RPG because you get to do a lot of combos.

I love the turnbased system of Final Fantasy. It's a lot easier to resume the battle if you have to leave the screen for a couple of minutes. Just press Pause and come back all 'Where was I? Oh yes. Curaga for Tifa.' and there you go (: But nowadays I'm hooked on the more thrilling and stressing experience of realtime battle. Kingdom Hearts is awesome like that. Like 'WOAH where did that come from?! *mashing X-button* Lol I win.'

I like turn-based, generally because real-time has its limits with the number of buttons that are allocated to actions. I'd say a better example of a well done real-time RPG is the Tales of... series. And an excellent example of turn-based would be Grandia 3.

real time is better but i don't mind turn based as it gives a chance for more stratagies

well i prefer Turn-based more since usually with turn-based u get greater freedom of making ur characters better, such as teaching them certain abilites and generally picking their own stats....where as because a realtime focuses on 'real time' fighting on the screen u seem 2 get less options, however it must be said tht KH games r prolly an exception 2 tht statement

I prefer Real Time, but only 'cause my favorite RPG ever is Kingdom Hearts. It's more action-packed and it's faster, though i really like how Final Fantasy games work with the turn-based aspect of the genre. B)

I actually like both of them really, but if i had to pick, it'd have to be real time... turn based is more luck than skill imho but.... i dunno thats just me

I prefere the real time fighting system, because its more interactive, like you have more control of your character, ulike final fantasy where it's hit and get hit over and over again lol.
