Halo 3. I feel that CoD is the same thing over and over, just war. Halo atleast has a storyline.

I have both and I'm playing them both regularly -- they offer somewhat different gaming experiences. From my perspective, the multiplayer for CoD just isn't very polished -- its very fun, and the reward system works well, but you don't realy have to win to rank up, so the rankings don't mean as much. In Halo 3, if you see a Brigadier General, its because he's a good player -- he's ranked up to 45 in at least one ranked gametype. A brig. Gen. in CoD just means that guy has a lot of time on his hands. =Ptheater's what does it for me though -- Halo 3 is beautiful and uses HDR to its fullest extent, and being able to make videos and capture your heroic moments is not just a "bell" or a "whistle," but in fact gives a huge factor towards enjoyment of the game imo. I've done some cool stuff in CoD, but I'll never remember what those were -- in Halo, I have a dozen movies of me wiping the floor (or getting wiped) spectacularly, and its a joy to have.

I have not played halo3 online yet. I was able to beta and did not care for it but understand that the beta helped tweak the release online. I have been a call of duty fan for a very long time and have always enjoyed the online component. And the point that the ranks don't mean as much in COD4 is a valid point, but with the weapon unlock being tied to the Rank makes it difficult to make Rank a skill based stat. The game play is great though and once you find a few people with complimenting play styles you can really chew through the enemy. I would say COD4 is the better bet.

Both are awesome,its not easy to debate on which. So its up to u to decide which. It's all about what u feel like playing (but forging in halo 3 is awesome when u change how the map style works. its awesome how u change what items and weapons are in the map awesome.)

They're two completely different gameplay styles. Call of Duty is more duck and cover and precised aim shots with no vehicles. On the other hand, the rank system is AMAZING and the the multiplayer feels like an RPG if you're playing it on Xbox Live.It's just different from Halo. I think Halo is more pick up and go than Call of Duty. But the singleplayer is pretty short for CoD, too.

If you're very patient and you don't like the run and gun style then you should definitely make the switch over to Call of Duty 4, the single player campaign may be short however the online is fun plus your rank actually gets you some pretty sweet stuff in the game

stick with halo because cod should have syate with the ww2 style instead of going modern not it reminds me of either ghost recon or socom and i don't like it any more

i think call of duty is better it is more realisticmake the switch halo3 isnt so great, the campaing isnt good , mulitiplayer is the same just an an update is pretty much the difference...

COD4 is more realistic, and I find it more satisfying than Halo 3. Halo 3 gets repetitive.

I would go for halo 3 its awsome and i don't like cod 4 at all. If tou want to try something else I would recommend to you GoW 2

there is no greater feeling in cod then when u have the most kills in the game and the feeling of just knifing people and getting a 3 kill streak is just fantastic

Myself, I like the cod games online much more then halo.I just think it's better, and I like how its not all alien crap lol.Cod4 for the win here.

Halo 3 has nothingggg on Call Of Duty 4It's so good, not just campaign wise but the multiplayer is the best I've ever seen.It's incredibly addictive and soooo fun.COD WAW is pretty good too, just depends on what era you like more.
