I honestly can't believe that some people think it's ok to have sex at 15 or 16 I mean your still living at home your parents are still responsible for what happens to you your still in school and your body is still maturing and that's only 2 or 3 years after becoming a teen

I will assume we are saying "without regards to legal bounds", in which case 10-12 may be old enough for a select few mature ones (the numbers of which could be increased if our society put more emphasis on "growing up"). Back in the day, (around the 1800s) the age of consent was anywhere from 7 years old to 12 years old depending upon where you lived. But back then, childhood was left behind as soon as you were old enough to hold a gun straight.

Really it's up to the person. i know a guy who lost his virginity when he was 13. i suppose it's probably different for girls though but i'd say around 15-16.

Age is one of the smallest factors, when your ready, physically and mentally, then you should be able to. if you can deal with the outcome and do it safely then good for you.

Exactly. People here seem to be fixated on age, but it's different for every single person.I myself was 20. I just wanted to wait until i found someone special to have that first time with. I say 17 and up, since in america they charge you like a adult so why not get that ability to freely have sex with your partner? Its just stupid, for some people they drop/bloom allot earlyer, wierdly for me... that came around when i was 11, so for me i had to wait 8 years, some kids have to wait 6 years to have it even if they know what they want. but as far as things i would set, i would have it so at 16 1/2 years of age sex is legal in consent of partner.

Sex should only happen after you are happily married to most people. guys should just learn to keep in it their pants and dont be a sex slave that needs sex. You hsould atleast keep that for your wife since most guys really wont have anything else sexually to give them that someone else hasn't already gave to them.
