Truly, it's simply a matter of opinion. I'm equally comfortable with any of the controllers, gamecube included, but I think I play video games too much, so....

PS2 is definitely not more simple than the Gamecube controller. The PS2 Controller has 17 buttons on it, the four shoulder buttons, the up, down, left, right, buttons, X, Square, Triangle, Circle, Start, Select, Analog, and L3 and R3, plus the two sticks (which didn't go into the 17 button total). The Gamecube merely has 12, the two shoulder buttons, X, Y, A, B, Start, Z. plus the D-Pad buttons. It also has the Control Stick and the C-Stick. Therefore the Gamecube controller is A LOT simpler. I personally have no problem switching between any of the console's controllers, but Nintendo's is definitely a lot more natural than the other systems.

no, its fine... its simplistic once you use it for a while. plus, a lot of the games dont even take advangate of some of the features (d-pad, c-stick)

I think the best controller (I'm going by the ones I've used extensively.) is the Wii's because basically all the buttons you use a lot are easily accessible, second best is Gamecube's because the buttons are easy to get to, but sometimes you easy enough, third is PS2's which is close with the gamecube's, but sometimes the buttons can just get mixed up for me (don't ask me why XP), and lastly is Xbox360. I just find the shape somewhat odd, and it can be a pain to reach the start button.

GC controllers are just fine. XBox controllers are more complicated, though you get used to controllers after about an hour or two.

Eh, the GC's controller is more confortable for the hands. And the buttons are placed in a much better way than PS2's controller, which is a copy of SNES'.

Yeah that's definitely true, especially the ones with grip.

I suppose some people might call it complicated but it really isn't. It has a basic layout but I have to admit the X & Y buttons aren't that great.

It seems pretty easy to mePOINTS were deducted for this post by Ballistic BeanzPlease refer to the forum rules to find out why your points were deducted.

Really? I've never payed much attention to the feel or setup of controllers |D; After using them for a while I just kind of adjust...The Wiimote is the only one I have issues with.

I actually like the Game Cube controller in comparison to the other consoles. It was very easy to use and had the buttons placed just about at the right spots. You could even buy smaller or bigger controllers (for those of us with smaller or larger hands) to make it even easier. In Nintendo's defense, at least they learned from the N64 Controller design.

Really? I think the NGC contoller is appealing, and when one plays a game, the controller will feel great too.

The GC controller took me maybe ten minutes to master. I still can't figure out x-box.

Are you joking? The Gamecube controller not only has less buttons (2 less, a top trigger and the select button) but it also fits better to your hand and isn't as flimsy as a ps2 controller! All but one of my ps2 controllers broke, but I still have all four of my gamecube remotes in perfect working condition. All in all, the gamecube remote is not only easier to use, but is better designed and easier to learn. I mean the main button (the A button) is HUGE, you can't miss it

I have to disagree about it being awkward or the worst controller.Personally, I think the GC controller fits very nicely in the hand. obviously, when designing it, the team had in mind the shape of the hands and the way they naturally grip things. It rests well regardless of hand size. They also customize nicely! Very easy to get apart and put back together, not complex at all. I've customized two controllers so far. I prefer that my controllers have a c-stick in place of the control stick. My hands are so small that I find it feels great to have a c-stick for moving. It's tinier and I feel like I have more precise control.I really think this controller is one of the best controllers ever made.

Really? How is it complicated? I would think it would be simpler than N64 because the C buttons are gone.

A gamecube controller is too complicated for me the easiest controller is to play with is the ps2 controller.

Yeah, it was a bit complicated and redundant at times, but it worked. They could have taken the directional pad out, i only remember that being used for unimportant things like some camera controls and taunts in SSMB, but i always loved how the Nintendo Controllers have always been different, i mean the N64 controller was awesome, it really got away from the standard controller design, and i think the GC controller was an attempt to revert back to the standard design while not jarring all the N64 players; Z trigger moved to above a shoulder button and the yellow arrow buttons turned into a joystick.

the gamecube controller was the only one that actually made sense to me. it was so comfortable and easy to hold and i liked how most of the buttons were different shapes. it made it easier to tell them apart. when they're all circles, i'm more likely to push the wrong button.

The big A button is very nice on the Game Cube. It is the perfect rest for your thumb. Just twist your thumb to hit B, X, or Y. Personally, I think the X and Y buttons are perfect.
