I like it, but I hate that you can't use a GCN controller on the Wii menu.

I never got a GC, and when i got a wii, my brother came home with a GC game and i didn't know it would work. it freaked me out when he stuck the disk in there. i didn't think it would work.

I don't really care for it at all, I kind of agree with you that they are copying Sony but I don't know.

I absolutely love it. I have around 19 gamecube games and only 7 Wii games, if it didn't have that feature I would have lost alot of money in total. Its one of my favorite things about the Wii. :(

This feature of the Wii is very useful. You dont have to look around for your GameCube and have to replug everything into your TV. Very time saving.

I like the feature. The GC had sum good games, and swapping out to replay them would be a pain.

Backeards compatibility is a genious concept, and is pretty much a staple with systems now. Nintendo couldnt have made a better feature in my opinion. And for those of you who say this is a competiative knock-off of SONY, backwards-comp was originally used by Atari on their Atari 2600 and Atari 5200 systems.

It's nice, but I like the Virtual Console better.

It's good because it gives backward compatibility to the Gamecube games.

I don't like it. I guess it's the awkwardness that comes with the way the controllers plug into the console, I don't know. I just prefer the Gamecube for its own games.

i love it because i can sell my gamecube and not have to worry about not being able to play my games

Me too, although it really brought the price down for the gamecube, but i dont really care. It's so easy to play it too, you put the gamecube game in the slot the wii games go into.

I love the GameCube function. I don't need my old system kicking around anymore. It's also great that the Wii's disk drive accepts both size disks so easily.

How are they COPYING the PS2? The Game Boy series was the first to do backwards compatibility. But it's definitely important for a console to have this feature, especially the Wii. With Gamecube controllers supported, the controller can be used for Wii games. SSBB with the Wiimote+Nunchuk would be hell.

It's a great idea. A lot of gems on the cube that didn't get the reknown they deserved because GC wasn't that popular.

It's not copying if it is then the ps2 copied for the Nintendo hand helds because they did it first.
