Im sorry but i really don't see how it's copying the ps2, nintendo has had backwards capabilities since the gameboy color. Just to mention a few: the gameboy advance can play gameboy and gameboy color games, the gamecube can serve as a gameboy advance... and on and on.

I do like the Gamecube function on the Wii. The only thing is, everytime I want to play a Gamecube game, I need to use the Wiimote to click on the game.

Copying the PS2? What are you talking about? Sony always copies Nintendo. The Gameboy Color was backwards compatible with Gameboy games. Sony copied that with the PS2.

Not to mention the Snes' supergameboy, but it might have had some play in sparking backwards compatibility

It is definitely convenient and gives you the opportunity to store the Game Cube away (if you own one!). Only odd issue I've come across is the memory card starting to heat up sometimes after X amount time playing a game.

I love how Nintendo is always backwards compatible, not like Sony and Micro$oft who only give "partial" compatibility

What could possibly be bad about it. If anyone really didn't like it, they could just go back to playing a GC (which they presumably would have if they had GC games). Then again who'd want to bother with changing the wires and stuff..,.

I think its real cool but i cant see why the manifacture cant all get together to make a console that plays all games so life can be good again...

I like it, but some games don't work on the Wii. Like I just found my Finding Nemo game (and I love Finding Nemo.) and I wanted to play it, but it didn't work .-.But if there is goign to be a gamecube feature, there should be a way to save files WITHOUT a memory card, and just use the Wii one.

It's nice that the gamecube doesn't have to take up space.

I like the backwards compatibility and all, but there are a few flaws with the rest of the Wii.Nintendo would do better to make a more durable system, rather than just focusing on getting a system. The Nintendo Wii, while being a great system and all, seems too easy to destroy... It's too light, and it feels fragile.I really don't like how thin the Sensor Bar is.

Copying the PS2? Are you kidding me? Nintendo has always aimed to make previous consoles compatible with newer ones. Look at the DS. Is that copying the PS2, too? Backwards compatibility is a must these days. Leave it out and you'll most assuredly irk more than a few of your target audience.

Why would anyone not? Those who didn't have Gamecubes before can now play GC games. Those who did, they can either sell their gamecube or give it away. My old neighbor and good friend enjoyed a Gamecube. Her parents never bought her gaming systems. The gamecube feature makes you a better person.
