He really didn't have anybody so if he was it must have not been his son.

Nero is an orphan raised by the organization called Orders. He has a demonic arm. His friend, Kyrie tried to keep him away from trouble. His only adopted father is the captain of the Orders. His name is Credo. He is also the old brother of Kyrie. He may be strict but a friendly father. Nero perceives Dante at first an enemy. Later, he realized he was on his side too. He was targeted by the high-rank officials such only Agnus. The self-concerning alchemist. And, Sanctus. His only grand plan was too become a god too. (Riviera much?) Because, he stage play the attack of the demons and using the unsealed power of Sparda. He did a mock act. Nero in other hand is completely a human who has a fragments of the family of Sparda. Which his arm why it was able to fix the legendary katana, Yamato. At his own hand. He's only having the piece of Dante's brother, Vergil.

No hes not related they kept the general theme of the character so that players wouldn't freak which sucks since he might have turned out better. Like Megaman X zero was suposed to be the main character but they thought people would't respond well to the character switch. Anyway from what I've gathered he was a regular man who let himself become posessed by a demon in order to save the woman he loves and he continues to amass demonic power in order to fulfill that goal. Not a bad character basis but sometimes the whole fighting for love thing gets old.

You mean the dedicated fight stuff? Well, its quite getting shabby though. Nero was like somehow the Zero of DMC4. While Dante was X of DMC series. They just had quite buggy idea. Nero's acting like Dante. Trash talk like him. And to fight, he acts Dante-ish to himself.

I don't think Nero is related in any way to Dante or Virgil. I think he's just some random kid who got cursed by some demon. Wish they would explain it.

I have yet to play the game but I think he will be a half brother of both dante and vergil.....Sparda possibly had a fling with another human and out popped Nero.... although the timeline might not fit for that

Well, from what I've gathered, Nero got his arm somehow while protecting Kyrie from a bunch of demons a couple o' years prior to the game, but I really don't know whether or not that's true. Also, the only real "evidence" we get in the game that Nero has a blood relation to Sparda is when Sanctus says that Nero "Have indeed inherited Sparda's blood!" and stabs him with Yamato. Another point of interest here is that he stabs Yamato specifically into Nero's arm, the Devilbringer. Well, good enough to get a discussion started at least, I guess. Cheers mates! Keep on discussing!
