I probably already know the outcome of this poll but I think that the Carbine might actually be better in Halo 3 than it was in Halo 2. I still prefer the BR, but on High ground there are a lot of Carbines laying around in the base.

i think carbine is good for faster shooting but i think the BR if u hit all in the head opposed to the carbine the BR wins (thats both guns hitting all shots to the head)

lol Carbine got OWNED! anyways yeah i tought that the Carbine was better than the BR in Halo 2 but in 3 hands down the BR

Yeah i was expecting it to end this way. The carbine actually takes more skill because you have to get more headshots with it for it to be good. I forgot how many carbine shots it takes to kill on halo 3 but i know it's only 7 on halo 2.

The Br is quite a bit better, especially because with a good headshot you can take down their shields and kill with the same 3-round burst.

Well, the BR is a very solid rifle, but I'll stick with the Carbine. I'm more of a sniper, so...

go the battle rifle. carbine is awesome in halo 2 but in halo 3 it is weaker. u can kill 3 grunts with 1 3burst shot in halo 3 and 2 .anyway, carbine is harder to find ammo for

Carbine if someone's far away and you don't have a Sniper Rifle, BR for mid-range.

In my opinion BR is better, but carbine is better for a furthur distance cause your able to shoot faster and its one bullet at a time. With the BR you shoot 4 bullets at a time and on a really long distance unless u have host only one bullet is going to land on each attempt.

br is so efficient, especially at mid range. carbine doesn't even compare.
