Battle Rifle hands down. Not only does it own but I feel like the weapon is more even than in Halo 2. In 2 whoever had the BR owned the map, in 3 I feel like you actually stand a chance now.

I don't know why but i favor the carbine ahead of Battle rifle since carbine is like one shot kinda thing and i like to fire one bullet at a time rather then spamming shots. But both weapons are really good if you can use them

In my opinion I think the Carbine is a better weapon then the BR I've played xbox live with my friend a lot and whenever I play against people with the BR and I had the carbine I just mowed them down with all the shots I placed in their head

In halo 2 BR would destroy the carbine.But with Halo 3 being more balanced BR only has a slight of an advantage.Also depends how fast your trigger finger with the carbine is.

i think carbine is good for faster shooting but i think the BR if u hit all in the head opposed to the carbine the BR wins

BR shotts three bullets per trigger pull wheras the carbine only shoots oneb/c of that i feel you have more controll when you shoot the BR, i would think its be hard to aim if your trigger finger waws spazzing out trying to fire as many bullets as you could.

i love the BR more than the carbine,because the BR fire burst bullet and the carbine only fire it's ammo one by one.
