i'd say death, being paralyzed would make me cringe at the fact that i'm just living as an entity with no presence in the world.

I'd rather die...because:#1 I don't want my family to suffer seeing me in such a state and having to sacrifice their time and effort in taking care of me#2 I never enjoyed being stationary or lazy so lying on the bed all day would make me more depressed than I already am being healthy and all...#3 I don't see the purpose of being alive knowing I won't be able to contribute to the society in such a physically limiting state, serving as an 'inspiration' to others is such an overstated concept

I prefer death. The major reason behind it is that, of course, it would suck. But there are others. For instance, in paralysis, many people will try to do things, for instance, to help you get better (Fix you). Assuming that there is no new treatment, you will suffer through pain and surgery, needles, etc. without being able to say no. Also, anyone, esp. people like me, will start to think. And that sucks no matter what. If you discover a really important thing, like, for instance, the secret to world peace, or the cure for cancer, you cant share it, and thus must sit, paralyzed, while if you could move you could save the planet. on the other hand, you would more likely begin to think on all the bad, wrong, stupid, etc. things you've done, and thus drive yourself mad, with no escape.That is why I don't want to be paralyzed.

i guess it would depend how much paralysis, like if its only a tiny itsy bit then its alright, but like total paralysis would drive me crazy.... can i still hear and see? i mean I can't talk either so no matter what its suffering.... i still wouldn't want to die though

Completely paralysed NO thats as good as dead isnt it.You cant do anything..Id prefer to die but then again you can make a difference So if I had something i Could do Just a little mobility and aability to speak I may well live But If iam completely paralysed and no hope whatsoever Then Please put some flowers on my grave.

I'd rather be paralyzed. At least my brain would be working. As long as I can think, I'll fight to stay alive.

To be perfectly honest I would prefer death than being a vegetable, but sometimes I feel like giving paralysis a chance may be better. However I guess being useless in every possible way is the worst humiliation...So I'd choose death. If paralysis was not SO severe, and I could just make a little change in the people around me and not just burdening them so, then paralysis will be worth it.

I would prefer death because paralysis just prolongs suffering. I would rather die and not suffer than be paralyzed and suffer.

I would definitely pick Death. Imagine paralysis: you can't move at all. That means someone has to feed you and help you drink, go to the toilet, etc. You can't do ANYTHING by yourself. You're completely dependent on others, which is just awful since you can't always count on everyone to be there for you.

I'd probably choose death just because I don't think I can stand being an incurable vegetable. Not being able to do anything, I think that'd be too much for me to bear.

Paralysis, I'd still be able to live a life even if I'm not able to do all the things I would have been able to do. If I died then it would be all over.
