Well, it's actually really hard to define the word "Pro" because, every character has a disadvantage and advantage against one another, but if say, you could never lose against your weakness? then well i guess you could consider yourself a pro. But on that note, i suck horrible cause i play with my fren that plays with Silent Spectre, Isai, Ken, and all those other dudes. pretty much, its the difference in comparsion. You may think your pro, but in reality, it could be the other way around.

I don't consider myself a pro but i was atleast decent. My favorite character was fox because i loved his reflector, his quick dash, and defenitely his fire charge.

I'm fairly decent. My favorite character by far was Falco. Nothing was more exciting than landing combos. SHFFL'ing laser charge spam --> SHFFL Dair (in stun period) --> Shine --> into whatever else depending on their HP was the setup for the bigger combos. If you got caught with a laser stun and I was close enough you'd take a massive amount of damage. Fox was fun too with waveshining but I still liked Falco the best. And Marth was just kind of BS if you mastered chain grabs (particularly against Falco, which is why my friend used it against me all the time >.>)

I am fairly good. I have never been beaten with Pikachu or Link, for anyone that has challenged me. But I know that there are many people better than me, for the only that I've challenged were my brother and his friends. My dad, too.

I would say that i'm a pro because i played as every character, beaten all the events, and got all the stages. The only thing I have to do is get the rest of the trophies.

I would describe myself as semi-pro. I've been to tournaments and done well, I've just never one any money except for one MM I played.

I would consider my self as a pro because I put team battle with two computers on me level 9 with 5 stock lives and me by myself with one life.

I would say that I am pretty good in the game (not the best, though ;)). I'm pretty good with all of them (maybe not Jiggly Puff or Ness). Though my favorites are Mario, then Samus, then Link, and then Captain Falcon for the win! :P A tip: To do the Falcon Punch, jump THEN press B.

I really wanted to get into competitive smash, but I could never really practice well. My friends usually didn't want to play melee so fighting cpus didn't really help me. Also, I've always felt that my reflexes were to slow; I could barely wavedash and perform the other tricks. Eventually, I just gave up.

Ah my cousin and I used to train at this game all the time together. We both became very good at it. We had a lot of fun on Link's level since it took quite a bit more work to knock a character off the screen.I'm going to end up having to move back in over there since I lost my job and ran out of money, but maybe I can look foreward to some more Smash Bros matches with him.

Ur only a pro if you know how to wave dash the best people for wave dash is Captian Falcon, Doc Mario, ice climbers, Beileve or not Ganondorf, and luigi because of his anti gravity thing but its not cool that they took wavedashing out of brawl :nea:

You guys... wavedashing alone does NOT make you a pro. >_> There are several "professional" Smashers that never wavedashed, like Aniki (check out his Young Link). Aniki COULD wavedash, but in most matches, he chose not to, and still beat players that DID utilize the wavedash. What makes you a pro is dedicating plenty of time to learning your character, and outsmarting your opponent, as well as learning spacing, which is exactly where wavedashing comes into play. If you play Marth and never hit tippers, what's the point? You have to learn your characters good and bad match-ups, and learn their good counterpick levels. In any case, I would consider myself above average, but definitely not pro. I'm friends with several "pro" Smashers, and they're just on a whole different level.

I think it's pretty cute that you cite Smashboards, and have named the COMPLETELY wrong characters that are "best at wavedashing". Also, the dude you quoted is already a member of that site. >_>Anyway, I'm leaving, I'm leaving. I said my piece, haha.
