i haven't played splinter cell or assassin's creed so my favourite is oblivion because of the awesome ai!!!

Assassins Creed doesn't offer enough stealth._.But that's the closest I've played.

well on the 360, probably hitman. but overall definitely metal gear solid 3.

Splinter Cell series, especially Chaos Theory. Assassin's Creed is great, too, but just a different feel as far as the stealth play goes.

Splinter Cell easily. Most other stealth based games simply bog themselves down with stupid gameplay additions (got enough swordplay in Assassin's Creed? <.<) or unnecessary dialogue (MGS3 was OVERLOADED with this).

I would have to say of the few choices I have in the 360's library that Hitman is my favorite stealth game.
