YES IT DOES.Our local radio station played nothing but the same Christmas songs for a month! That is a surefire way to ruin people's old sentimental qualities about Christmas music.

Why are you guys still complaining about Christmas music? It's February!Eh, Christmas music isn't all bad. I mean, you only hear it for a month or so and then it's gone. Christmas is generally a fun time for everybody, and the music that goes along with it usually helps to fuel that feeling of fun, so what's wrong with it?

I just turn off the radio after Thanksgiving and put CD's in until Dec. 15. I can only listen to christmas songs for two weeks without going insane. (we have an old non-ipod compatile stereo)

It makes me cheerful in June and July when it gets too hot outside.

I love Christmas music and only listen to it in December and only the tracks that I've downloaded. But if I had to listen to the radio stations that play it 24 hours and don't play hardly any of the songs I like then I'd probably get sick of it too.

Whilst I do like Christmas music for a little while each year, the fact that I haven't got set playlists or bothered to encheck it to prevent it playing in iTunes bothers me, considering the surprising frequency with which Christmas songs appear on shuffle "/

If you feel that the normal Christmas music you hear blasting in the stores is boring, then opt for edited versions, like remixes. You can try searching "Jingle Bombs" on Youtube.

Very true. I find them very annoying when they try to make Christmas jingles extra posh.

A few weeks before Christmas, fine. During Christmas. No. After? Heeell to the no. Christmas music is just something I can be without and still feel the "warmth of Christmas".

I agree - The incessant merriness of rubbishy Christmas pop does grind on me after an hour or so of hearing it. It's only made worse by the department stores that play Christmas music 2 months in advance. Is that even necessary? Is it? REALLY???

The music as well as the constant marketing of it grow old very quickly. I enjoy Christmas for giving me the chance to spend time with family but having the commercial aspect shoved down my throat for two months in advance no.
