killer instict is kinda virtua fighter style (2D of course) but slightly mechanic in moves.i am a fan of mortal kombat series and mk 2 is the best...street fighter: the new challengers is also worth trying...

yup i 2nd dat, too bad the first time i played dat was thru a emulator... heheoh and that dragon ball z hyper dimension, super street fighter, mortal kombat 2.for some reason i used to play clay fighters when i was small... prob just thought that the graphics were interesting. but that game is so corny...in my opnion is gundam wing endless duel

I really liked the Street Fighter series, not just one of them in particular. The Mortal Kombat one is good too.

i liked that gundam wing fighter game, being a gundam fan, also the ease of the controls, it was fun, if not, the best in my opinion

If a game was able to captivate my 40 year old dad, a stereotypical accountant, so much that he would take us to the arcade when we were kids and give us a fist full of quarters in order to play that game, it would have to be named as one of the greats. I would have to argue that Primal Rage was one of them. Also, the TMNTs original arcade game was awesome, not only for sound, not only for the beautiful video quality, but because both my brothers, my dad and i could play it AT THE SAME TIME! I could see a smile come across his face when he saw it come out for the Xbox and he knew he could play it again.

I just got to thinking about this and I remember there were 2 fighting games based on two TV shows:Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament FightersMighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting EditionI never played the Power Rangers one but the Turtles one I did and it wasn't too bad.

i forgot about Samurai Showdown. that would be another one on the list with TMNT Tourny one. i remember i had that game too...btw, is there anything like a R4/M3/HD Loader for the SNES? It would be pretty mean if i can just have the whole collection. i know u can run emulator off the ps2 but nothing beats the original.

The best is Super Street Fighter 2, no doubt about it.The _good_ Arcade ports of SNK games are restricted to:Art of FightingArt of Fighting 2Fatal Fury SpecialThese are less known, but yet are very good:Battle Tycoon <-- you should spend a few GP's on this, really!Dead Dance <-- too bad you can't play with the bossesPower Instinct <-- the old lady is memorable, to say the least...And there's the Gundam Wing game - it feels more like "modern" fighting games (post-Darkstalkers I mean). The Ramna games are pretty much fun, despite the ackward gameplay.

Oh My God I can't believe how much i hate Motal Kombat games !!! You had to remember all those button combo's, i would always get my butt handed to me by my brother . But the best fighting game would have to be Fatal fury that rocked.
