The best cheats I saw was on Gran Thef Auto series. The cheats grants you tanks, air planes, guns, invincibility :D.

If you cheat the game loses its seriousness...

i agree. imo games (like the sims 2) are fun when you don't cheat but as soon as i cheated in that game, it was not as fun to play.

I only cheat after I've completed all the objectives that I wish to work for. That way, I get to experience something different after actually working for the other accomplishments.

If you cheat then what's the point? Sure, I could've cheated myself invincible in some RPG or other or obtained about a bazillion simeoleons via the Sims "rosebud" cheat, but that wouldn't've been half as satisfying as putting honest effort into it.

Yep, cheats destroys the game. I think it's good to cheat or at least use a walkthrough after you've finished the game honestly. Personally when I play RPGs, I don't cheat the first time. After finishing the game, I look for walkthroughs to help me unlock the special things like secret bosses, secret areas, secret items, etc. In this way, I will be able to get the satisfaction of finishing the game on my own and the satisfaction of unlocking everything there is in the game.Just my 2 cents :(

Yes, I too don't agree with cheating. Think about it.. Why they make the game hard if the purpose is not to give you real challenge?Solving the game without cheating will give you incredible sense of satisfaction..

I only start using cheats on like a 5th run through of the game just to fool around. I have never used to cheats becase a game is to hard (course not many people can beat Ninja Gaiden on it's Master Ninja mode)

cheating in an offline console game or pc game = major fun!cheating / hacking in online games = for sad people who cant win in a fair way and need them to make sure to win from theire opponents its no fun in making other people frustrated >.> better frustrate yourself then, if you get owned by a better player then its not a reason to start hacking... just try to get better then that player.

Cheating on games is par for the course. If you pay $45 dollars for a game and get stuck you are going to opt for some kind of cheat code or exploit GUARANTEED XD.

The cheat destroy the gaming pleasure. Okay some cheat are cool (like change the violence level) or can help you when you are blocked. After it's fun but the game is so easy and lost all its interess.MMORPG cheating is useless, because the MMORPG games are created to become an addiction, and if you cheat, you finish the game quickly but you are yet an addict, a bored addict.

I cheat for two reasons (and this is all singleplayer!)1: Because I'm stuck and have tried as much as I care to get unstuck. A particularly difficult boss, a troublesome section... if I die more than ten times trying, I'm just gonna cheat my way past and try again later.2: Because I've beaten the game and now want to see how it is with the cheats. My second playthroughs tend to be my last ones.

Cheating in games... I dunno. If you bought a game that's just kicking your ass all over the place, or you're just getting into gaming, it can be good. But, on the other hand if you're playing online, cheating is basically saying "Ok, so the game developers figured out how to balance this game. All these other people have trained long and hard to get as good as they are now - I.E, better than me. But I think that it's OK to go download some script to invalidate all that and score some headshots. Why should I bother getting good/working for that great item in an MMO? I think it'd be more fun if I had it NOW, and I don't care who I piss off in the meantime."In first-person shooters, it's not much of a problem - the usual response is "Screw this; I'm off to a different server." In MMOs, though, I'd imagine it's a real pain if you max your character's level, get a bunch of good gear, work up a decent amount of cash, and then see a retard duper prancing around in better gear and with a fatter balance. In a single-player game... well, you bought it, you figure out how you want to play it. But seeing as most single-player games have an interesting plot which is better experienced immersed in the game, and an online multiplayer component, single-player is at the very least good practice. And if you've ever played any sports - how often do you purposely make practice easier than a real match? "Yeah, my opponent in tennis will be playing his best... so I'll only practice for a bit, and only volleys while I'm at it.". There is a good, fun experience to be had for most games playing through without cheats, and if you haven't got that, it seems like you're reducing the game down to a boring little toy. :/On the other hand, especially in GTA, even if you're not done with all the story missions, yeah, just grabbing a chopper, some big guns and a lot of health and cutting loose can be exactly what you need >:3

Only some cheats are fun. Just cheating to get through is lame ; \. Take for example JKA (jedi knight academy) You get bored of one saber but you can't switch in game. So use a cheat to get two sabers, or the saber staff.Stuff like that is understandable, but godmode is lame : \

boo cheating is lame :(POINTS were deducted for this post by Sir VGPlease refer to the forum rules to find out why your points were deducted.

To a certain extent. If you can live with it and it makes it more fun, not at anyones expense tho (maybe a friends hehe) then its ok. eg. The old star wars jedi knight was so much fun on god mode and wlaking through walls.
