I'd have to say mercenary. If there's going to be an epic struggle, I would wait and see how things go for a while before getting involved.

i would be a mercenary for the reason that you may not know which side really is the good/bad one but in the end i get to choose the right path(hopefully)

I chose villain. My favourite characters from games are always the suit-wearing mastermind psychopaths, those who aren't really evil, but just do whatever it takes to get to the top. E.g the russian guy from Max Payne 2, Mr. Ryan from Bioshock, Dr.Breen from Half Life 2 etc. That's why I would like to be one of those. Doing whatever it takes to win and have no emotion.

I'll usually go as the good guy first, unless being evil in the game makes it easier. I like being challenged after I have the basics down.

i try to be a good guy so i wouldn't be able to stand around and let others destroy the world... nor could i be the one destroying the world...
