I like adventure games, strategy games, or both in the same game. Adventure game: adventure games like pokemon, digimon have been here for years and everyone like them, simply because there are plots and twist and excitement while going on an adventure. Playing adventure games are really fun since you can walk around everywhere and do alot of freestyle things. Strategy games are also my favorite, I will need to use my brain and think about ways to solve things, but usually not as hard and tiring as puzzle games since the whole game is centered with puzzles. If it is both an adventure and strategy game, I would definitely get it! It will be a perfect game for me!

I enjoyed the music related ones like the elite beat agent & Taiko no Tatsujin DS. Quite mindless yet challenging & fun!

adventure games with a hack and slash combat style and a good story. i could care less about fancy combat or different types of spells you can use. as long as you kill the enemies, get from point A to B and advance the story, i'm happy.

It's amazing to see how many people like a certain type of game. I like all genres of games, but I am do better with some genres than others.For instance, I tend to look up cheats with every adventure/ action game I play, but with puzzle games I breeze through them.Don't know why...doesn't matter...

I personally like the adventure+strategy genre combined games. 
I'm not sure where to draw the line with classifying games but I definitely do prefer the kinds of games where I have to think rather than rely on my reflexes.

I'll try pretty much anything that's not a racing game, a FPS, or a [media] tie-in (ie: based on a movie, tv show, whatever). I tend to avoid platformers, but not always.But my favorites are always simulations/strategy games.

RPG games like Chrono Trigger (classic awesome), brain games, and the usual tetris/bust-a-move.Can't forget Pokemon too, heh.
