Their both really good but i personally like halo 3 better because of the multiplayer.

COD4 has the better SP, but the Halo MP is better. Call of dutys multiplayer gets real boring real quick. It swiftly becomes just point in the general direction of the enemy and spray your m4 carbine away till you run out of ammo.

CoD4, definitely. Halo 3 is fun with multiple people and has decent replayability. Not nearly as much as Call of Duty 4 though. It's fun by yourself, with your buddies, online, all around lol.

Everyone says CoD 4 is a really great game, but I played it at my friends house (on and offline) and i didn't like it. People might hate me for saying this, but I would give it a 4/10. I am a hardcore gamer but this is one game I didn't like. I would only rent the game to play online, and i would play for maybe 1 hour and stop and bring it back. I never played Halo 3, but I played halo 2 and loved it so i would have to go with Halo 3. Any way it won game of the year on Gphouria, and Gphouria is by the gamer so that would mean more people liked Halo3 then they did CoD 4. That would mean that Halo 3 is better so if your were going to buy one of the two then buy Halo 3, and maybe just maybe rent CoD4 because CoD 4 sucks!

They are both amazing games and i think it just comes down to your tastes. personally i liked COD4 because of the amazing replay value online. Also the single player is just incredible. Halo 3's storyline was good but i only enjoyed it because i was a halo fan and wanted to know the rest of the story. But COD4 has a crazy storyline that had a uniqueness to it that you would not find in other games. Also the multiplayer for COD4 allowed for more variability, since there were all kinds of game types, while on halo 3 most people either play team slayer or lone wolf.

well i prefer halo 3. but it really depends on what you are playing it for. for online, halo 3 is better if all of your friends are playing it. but i heard cod4's online is good too. a toss up i think.

Call of Duty is legend. Far better than halo in many ways. Graphics, customizeable guns, perks, better sniping mechanics. less jumping noobs. The create a create a class feature is the best and it initiates people into gameplay more by slowly giving them parts of the multiplay experience. The person who said you spray your M4 till your out of ammo is a hxc noob. You shouldn't spray first off if you're any good and there are much better guns better than the M4 and the attachements help to diversify play alot!

As a X-Box 360 owner with both games, I would say that Call of Duty 4 is a better game overall because of the fact that the single player is phenomenal, and the Halo 3 Campaign is short, easy, and the campaign just doesn't come close with the Call of Duty 4 campaign. Online I would have to say it is up to the buyer. If you are looking for a game that you wanna play with young kids, and sometimes annoying I suggest go with Halo. If you are a intense gamer like me, and many other people I suggest Call of Duty because the game is more realistic, and they are more combos than in Halo. Also the strategy for CoD4 takes more skill, because of the fact that the game uses more weapons, and has different powers of the weapons. Halo 3 only has a limited number to weapons to of the same class; Assault, Sniper, Shotgun. CoD4 relays on every gun used in war, and has many different weapons per class; more snipers, shotguns, assault weapons, etc.. So the game choice comes to what type of first person shooter that the buyer wants more. - I suggest Call of Duty 4 for the the game with most feel, and with the most weapons so you can always have a choose on which weapon you want to use.

Halo Is more of a fantasy world when you look at all the stuff it has..Flying car type things and gravity hammers..seriously, dude??I can't believe that game sells at all..CoD 4 is much better..Graphically and much you get much more fun playing co-op on CoD4(If u lack a hard drive).But whatever the case i go for CoD.

Definately COD4 - its more challenging, faster paced and the online multiplayer is astonishing! It'll keep you entertained for hours!Also, the way you earn promotions and unlock new weapons etc. adds a whole new dimension to the multiplayer and gives you something to aim for even when playing the multiplayer and having already completed single player.

to be fair both are great games but IMHO, if you enjoy multiplayer, Halo 3 is defintly a lot more fun because COD4 is too realistic and can get very boring after a while. You live for short amounts of time and get killed in 2-3 seconds. You have almost no chance of defending yourself. Its whoever gets 1st shot wins.. :/ Just a run and gun multiplayer. Halo 3 multiplayer i think requires much more strategy.the single COD4 is so much better than Halo3's. It's in depth, very fun, but a little bit on the short side. So depending on how you like to play, choose either COD4 or Halo3, personally i prefer Halo3.

There is no way in hell that CoD is better than Halo 3. CoD is full of "last stand" bullcrap and it doesn't even have vehicles. The shooting is way too easy, where as you have to lead your shots in Halo 3, making it more of a challenge. Overall, Halo 3 is was better than CoD. Just cause they made 3 crappy games and 1 decent one does not make it better than the Halo series.CoD 4 DESTROYS Halo 3, then rapes and pillages the land and then sets fire to it.Halo 3 is trash compared to Call of Duty 4 (emphasis on the numbers since the other CoD's sucked, and Halo 2 was awesome)

Comparing both is like comparing apples and oranges. It just doesn't work.Both are great games in their own right, but I just prefer CoD4, yet nothing beats a fun game with friends over on Halo 3.

call of duty 4. i was definately disappointed in halo 3. it collected dust since cod4 was released (over a year ago.) Halo has too many little kids and idiots. I don't even like halo 3 as much as halo 2. they tried to do too much with the power drains, regenerators, Etc. Also, the maps aren't as good on halo 3.
