both are equal one makes up for another so i say they are both good games

its a hard one because there both great but for differant reasons but halo is like abit better for you can so more in it

CoD 4 because halo 3 is too short

halo 3 is ok offline but online i did not like it cod 4 short story but online is good never have to worry about a game only problem is its to over rated everyone is aways onabout it. i can see why but there are just to over the top

I dont know why but halo 3 is so much fun. Playing online is great.

Halo 3its reallyy addicting in Multiplayerif u have xbox live u should definetly go with halo 3i played like 2 months before it got boring and then (like a month later) i wantedto play again.yeah Sp i kinda easy but if play on legendary with all the skulls its really hard to complete the misson.I would definetly go with Halo 3no discussion

does depend. Call of Duty 4 if you are playing alone, plus it is more realistic and fun to play but unlocking weapons always annoys me but I do it anyway.plus more fun on Call of Duty 4 bcuz u do not have those annoying armor that recharges all the time.Halo3 if u just want to kill and hit ppl and have friends over. I like both but Call of Duty 4 is my favorite to play online/live.

I would have to go for Halo 3. Even though Call of Duty 4 has more challenging campaign levels, it's multiplayer maps are near the same as the campaign maps. However it does allow your own custom weapon class which I geuss is comparable to forge. But still, all in all, I prefer Halo 3

id say pretty much even. Though Halo achived what COD achived in 3 tries not 4, bonus points there.

COD 4 much better with the sounds music and the places. Halo 3 fun blowing thing's up but much better playing it online

Well, I own both and I love both but the thing is that the only thing these two games have in common is that they're both first person shooters. You have Call of Duty 4 which is a realistic military shooter and Halo 3 which is a Sci-fi adventure/shooter.Compare the features of both games for a moment...Halo 3 has single player, Co-Op(offline or online), mutiplayer, Forge, and the theater. Call of Duty 4 on the other hand was single player and mutiplayer...that's it. However that's not saying that the mutiplayer for Call of Duty isn't totally awesome but halo 3 does have more features. Now let's move on to graphics, it is said that Call of Duty 4 has way better graphics then Halo 3...but does it really? Think about it...the quality of the graphics doesn't depend on what KIND of graphics they are but rather the STYLE. Call of Duty 4 went with a photo realistic graphic style and they pulled it off quite nicely I'm sure we can all agree but Halo 3 didn't. Instead they went with a cartoon/comic book type of graphics which is why everything is so colorful and such; and in my opinion at least, they did a very nice job. One feature of a game that I at least think is very important is story. When I buy a game, sure mutiplayer is cool and it's the part of the game that takes most of my time but I want a good single player story in the game as well. The Halo story in my opinion is totally awesome and is very original. Call of duty 4, when it comes to plot at least is...average at best. I mean it's "Terrorists make nukes, they send nukes to USA, must stop nukes." Where in Halo it's more like, "Group of Alien races wants to kill humans due to religious beliefs, aliens want the halo rings activated for 'The Great Journey' and through all odds the humans repel the alien attackers." The Halo story has much more depth but this is already a very long post. Obviously the Call of Duty 4 story was more "realistic" but as I said story is very important to me. On a side note, another difference is controls...has anyone ever tried to play alot of Call of Duty and then go back to Halo or vice versa? I did...it's flipping crazy. I played alot of Call of Duty and played some Halo...I forgot how to reload, use grenades or anything besides move,shoot and jump.Lastly as I said before I love both games. It might seem like I'm hating on Call of Duty 4 but then...why would I be a 7th prestige going on my 8th. Both games are worth every cent of 60 dollars and I would never quit playing either of them unless their sequels came out. I just love the realistic, gun fighting, military action of Call of Duty 4 and the Sci-fi non-stop, vehicle/gun slinging game play of Halo 3. All in all, both really great games.

Both are great.Halo 3 is more on the unrealistic and creative side.Call of Duty 4 is more on the realistic and hardcore.Just depends on your playing style.Halo 3 does tend to get boring though and seems to be easier.
