I'm thinking of testing it but I wanna know what version to get?Do the older versions like 6 for example run better on older machines because I have a crappy computer? Are those older versions missing some important thingys that were added to the later ones?So which one should I get 6, 7 or 8?I've tried Elements but it didn't offer anything more than Paint Shop Pro

CS 8 is the best. Photoshop doesnt take up too much processing power. It might take a few more seconds to load but besides that...CS 8 is the best. CS includes ImageReady also, wich is good for nonsig work.Oh, and whats you avatar?

yep and juist one thing.If photoshop takes too much time to load in your CPU: dont worry! my PC is very good and it still takes like a minute to load.The only advantage of version 7 is that lots of tutorials are made for it (i dont know if you will need them, but i do 
) and i think some of the menus orders changed... but after a while you will know all the oprions and it wont be a problem anymore. download CS 8.0.

Well IMO ps7 is the best program for crappy computers. ATM im only runnin on 641mhz 128 RAM and a 40gb hdd so yeah my computers crap. But yeah once I upgrade ill move up to CS....maybe if it can hold all my brushes then yeah.Oh im runnin on XP i just have PS7 thats all

I use Photoshop 7. It works just fine. CS isnt really that much of an upgrade.

well i can run ps7 mozilla and msn messenger pretty well its when i start up lime wire or bit tornado i go funny but when i get my computer thatll all change
