I surprisingly have an equal amount of friends from both genders, but I would have to say that I am closer to my female friends because of how I was raised

My best friend is the same gender but my other best friend is his girlfriend so I have both and don't really have a gender preference for a bestie.

I dunno. As a guy, I tend to get along with women more easily, I'm not quite sure why. My "best friends", however, all remain male.
