Emulation, I gotta say, because some games (*cough*Pokemon*cough*) Just play too slow for me without speeding them up on the computer. The controls don't bother me and I got used to them quickly, plus FREE!

I use emulation for trial purposes only before I buy the real deal, so I go for the real game.

really it's the real game, sure emulation is free but there is something to playing the game on a real gba. the purpose for the gba is to be on the go, so if your at home you might as well play games on a console, they are better.

I think emulation and the real game both have their strong and weak points. For emulation you can download games for free. But if they might have very awkward controls or have problems unlike the real thing. On the real game there is a bigger chance of no problems and everything usually works well. So which do you prefer?

the real thing will always be better. especially when you get into the portable emulators like ds or gba. far more convenient for road trips and the sort

The real game. Save states are nice and all, but I just feel more comfortable playing the game in my hands the way it was meant to be.

I prefer emulation because you can save anytime you want, plus you wouldn't need to waste money by buying games. You could just download one off your internet.

yes, it does and it makes the game bad to play, unless its a game like FE8, then you can make it hard

The saving anytime thing helps a lot in "Super Robot Taisen."

It really depends on the circumstance for my opinion on emulators or real thing. For emulators, playing multiplayer with a link cable such as on the Pokemon games is gone. But then again, it's free! And also if you throw that emulator on a Flash Drive like I do, you can bring it places with other computers, such as school (Yes, I play at school, the computer lab is a wonderful thing as long as I dont get caught). With the Flash Drive Technique, it functions almost like a cartridge, only all you need is a computer instead of a GameBoy or a DS.But, cartridges are great too. You get to play the game as it was intended to be played, and multiplayer is all there.

Maybe I agree with slangdriverBut actually that's because I'm having fun with old games in emulators.Even now I'm using PC to do many things (including gaming), I played games on many consoles before PC. That's why I can't forget them

I prefer emulators for the sole reason of saving anytime you want.Without that the real thing and the emulator would be equal in my eyes.(though speeding the game is a huge + for emulators).

I prefer the real games. I like to sit deep in my chair and just enjoy playing with the console.

i like the real game for the simple fact of convenience. True emulation is free and it is exceptionally easy to cheat. However, i think you have to consider that with the real game you can take it with you. Remember the purpose of handhelds is to take them anywhere. You cant take your computer with you everywhere even if you have a labtop.

Just like you wree saying, both definately have their strong points:Emulation: Save states, larger screen size, adjustable controls, speed button (I love this one a lot).GBA: Games run more smoothly, it's easier not to 'cheat' with save state abuse, etc.

I prefer the real game. No amount is worth the feel you get from holding a real super nintendo controller in your hands while playing your favorite SNES game.

I much prefer the real game when it comes to consoles, but I prefer emulation for handhelds (my eyes are kinda bad, and some emulators can make the screen larger, which doesn't make my eyes strain as much).

I think the only weak point on an emulator is that it can't connect to your friends games and that you have to do a lot to make it handheld (not including laptops).

I think the emulations are fun since you can mod them ect. (at least for some of them). And most of the time if I'm going to get an emulation of a game its because I wasn't really planning on buying the real version in the first place.

In my opinion, i'd rather play emulators. I don't see a point in wasting 30 dollars for a game i'll play once and won't be able to sell for 5 dollars after.

I think emulation wins me over with its freeness, speed up button, and multiple saves whatever time I want : P

i prefer emulations, as they eliminate the need for buying a separate console or hardware.

I'd have to go with emulation, since save states allow me to 100% most games much faster. Playing the real game is probably a more satisfying experience. My parents don't let me buy or play as many games as I want, so I'm stuck with emulation, not that I mind all that much.

All in all, I prefer the real game. Although I play emus a lot more. For a game that I've completed many times, (like the first and second generations of Pokemon ^^) I prefer the emulation, because it can be sped up a lot, and I can do other things online whilst playing it.But for a newer game, I prefer to have the console in my hand. It can follow me everywhere until its completed :foldarms:
