I agree. The emulations are great but they have strange controls. Like the Pokemon mystery dungeon games, you cant get the menu to open when you want it, and it is hard to figure out the controls. The real version is alot smoother but also costs alot to get or if you lose or destroy it. I stick with the emulated ones because they are free but i like the real ones much better

I honestly like the emulator because it saves me time and money and I like to toggle the speed. Real games can be annoying when they get scratched and stopped working :P

i would say that the real game is much better than roms. so much faster and you got the buttons made for the had, not a f***ing keyboard...

I think that the Emulatores are better. you can do so much more on them then you can in the real game. Like saving in the slots for a part that you cant save in the regular game, or if you maybe dont want to save.Emulatores are better.

Depends on the game. Some games work perfectly fine on Visual Boy Advance, yet others, like Megaman Zero 4, run fairly slow and have glitchy sound. It's annoying when a game starts out at 100% speed, then over the next 5 or 10 minutes, slowly works it's way down to around 60-70% speed and gets sound problems. I know it's not my computer, because it can play most N64 games without terrible lag. There's no way my computer can't run a simple GBA game, so it has to be my emulator...Then, there are some games that seem to stay at 95-100% constantly.

Emulation just because its cheaper(no cost) and easier to find(there are some awesome random games out there I'd never be able to find).

The real thing is ALWAYS better. Using an emulation is pretty much cheating.

nothing beats the real game. the worst thing about emulators is the makeshift control pad you are stuck with. however, emulated games are free. :awesome:

Gameboy is always portable, but if you have a lap top and a charger it's the same thing. Emulation provides instant saving so landing a hit on an enemy or winning the lotto, or getting an item.

I prefer playing the real game, since I want to avoid the temptation of using savestates and thus taking some challenge out of the game.

I like the real game better. All the roms I have are of games I own most of the time. I try them and then I delete them after 24 hours.Emulation... ist how I try a GBA game to see if I like it before I ask my parents if they will buy it for me.So... in the end I choose real ^^

Honestly, over-all I would prefer the REAL game, however with that said...Emulation DOES have its advantages like allowing you to easily find rare games. Or, 'try before you buy' so to speak. I've done this several times, I've DLed games that I really liked and wouldn't think for a second about buying the real deal. (Assuming I had the money, of course)

With emuators and roms, they are free, but they can have bugs in them, and are more likely to have glitches, depending on how they downloaded. With a real game, it costs money, but if it doesn't work, you sometimes are able to take it back to the store and get a refund. SOMETIMES!!! :-P

Noo...CHEATING in a game is pretty much cheating, emulators provide a Normally easier atmosphere, and it is true that it's easier to cheat. But does 4 hours of meaningless grinding sound more fun than 20 minutes of grinding on speed mode then just continueing on with the main quest? I didn't think so. (oh yeah...and i'll be sure to mention if i ever find a non-mmo that requires 4 hours of meaningless grinding)

I prefer emulation.Obviously because it's free roms, but real games, like other people have said, will work at good speed and no bugs. Roms are still great but sometimes aren'ttoo reliable

Emulation is only mental exercise. Real game is both mental and physical... take two at the same price :P
