i love playing with mates who dosent its a laughe with fighting or shoot em ups but i really prefare to play campaign mode on my own you can really get into the story and enjoy it more without some else annoying you by messing or so on

Multiplayer is amazing when you have some friends playing with you - nothing like fielding a full team for an online game of COD4! On the other hand, single player is good for when you wanna watch TV at the same time or just as a distraction for a little while.

This question really depends upon the type of game, for some games are just better played alone, but others can be quite fun when together. I guess it also depends on my mood at the time as well. Sometimes I enjoy being by myself, getting submersed into a great storyline, yet other times it is exciting just to be around other guys all playing a game. First person shooters are by far a terrific multiplayer game, even in the campaign mode. Halo, CounterStrike, Medal of Honor, are all terrific games that allow for multiperson battling. Role Playing Games are usually more fun to play by yourself, multiplayer is usually only about calling other people n00bies and stuff. But the real fun comes in solo adventuring. So you see, it is always tough to choose one style of gaming over the other, when really it comes down to the type of game you are playing. The Scholar

Single player. Multi-player is fun, but at the end of the day, when everyone leaves (or your internet connection dies), single player will always be there to comfort you.

i agree that mutiplaying is cool butsingle player is better(e.g. Kh2 or Devil May Cry4)those too are cool without multibut multi games are good when it comes to shooting games(e.g. Call of Duty WaW, Gears of War 2)

It depends. I like single sometimes, when I feel like playing in storyline and such. I only play multi with games like Rock Band or Mario Cart or DDR.

Depends on the game. Most of the time i like Single-Player, but when it comes to FPS or Bomberman, Multi-player all the way.
Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?

Multiplayer! I grew up in a gaming family and always had someone to play with for Battle Toads, Bomberman, Astal, Secret of Mana, Versus mode in NiGHTS into Dreams, etc. So I'm hooked on playing games with someone else, though I do enjoy playing single player games.

I prefer multi if only because it's more fun to show your skills to others. Single is fine if the story and/or gameplay is really awesome.

Multi... But not online... Like anything X-box live related. Something you do with friends... and have an adventure.Shining Soul 2.... Tales of Synphonia/Abyss.

I really prefers single player most of the time and then when I am actually good at the game, I will try the multiplayer section because real players are really good. I never actually tried to play multiplayer immedaitely after I bought a game..
When the going gets tough, the tough goes shopping...

Hm, I like both of them, single and multi player games. I like how i can be heroine -yes heroine!- but not much game have heroine, most of them is hero

I like single. Shooters are good for multi but besides that only stragey games are have really good multi players nowdays
