Depending on the letter limit, either "KARMN" or "KARMEN". But in Pokemon, I always do "ASH" unless I'm playing a girl. For online games, MePokeYou, always.

I just use the default name. If it's a file name then I write ether my own or "Sooz", and if there is no default name, I just pick one that I think suits the character.

Depends. If the character comes with a name, I usually leave it default, unless I cannot stand the original name. In that case, or if the character has no default name, then I do one of three things:1) I simply name them my current favored nickname ("Kai" at the moment of writing, though it's gone through many incarnations--"Kit", "Rei", and "Syssareth" to name a few.)2) I name them something that fits their appearance or what I perceive their personality to be (I do this all the time on Wajas, and I named--among others--a Dracky "Koumori" and a Mischievous Mole "Shoberu" in DQM:J because "koumori" means "bat" and "shoberu" means "shovel"). This is done mostly according to a theme, so there usually won't be, for example, Japanese and Arabic names in the same game. (This changes if I run out of good names in one language or can't find one that means what I want it to.)3) I name them something completely off-the-wall and random and usually made-up, which is actually how "Syssareth" originally came to be.So, as you can see, my naming process is quite complicated and probably more trouble than it's worth.

I usually name my characters "aris" which is my nickname

I think naming the character is stupid, so I generally go by default names or something that has to do with the game. Aka, for Persona 4, my character's name is Shin Tensei.

I know there's a good chance I won't get any responses to this, but I was just curious as to what everybody named the characters from Chrono Trigger? Did you stick with the default names or did you venture into uncharted territory to give them all new identities? Personally, I chose the latter and decided to go with names from some of my good friends and the people that I... stalk... However, it did make looking up information on the game a little more difficult later because I forgot the original names of everybody...

sometimes i use my name but if its a series game i use the main characters name. if it's multi characters i name some by their type like ice Thundra

I normally do is have the regular name of the original character but just scramble the words just to make it sound coolOther than that I just name it "GAME" I dont know why but I think its entertaining

It depends... normally, I'll name them after myself and my friends if I'm playing alone. However, if I'm playing around friends we'll usually work together to come up with ridiculous (usually profane) names.

Well it depends really, with zelda games and pokemon games i keep the main characters name the same but other than that i usually name them Ace or Leo after the main character in ff8

I name everyone Link. If I have to name two characters I name them Link and Haji. I also always name Link Link, but that's because Link is Link, Like Zelda is Zelda. Can't name Crono (chrono trigger) Potato, because Crono is Crono, not Potato.

i think donbot is a great name for a character. "don" because my character is always number one and "bot" because robots kick ass.
