I have the old one. I got it when it first came out, and I really didn't see the point of getting the slim one.

I have the slim one, because I didn't buy my PS2 until several months after the slim one came out (I wasn't much of a console fan until I played KH at my friend's house...).

I have the old one... Silver limited edition. Its bulkier than the slim but still the same.. I love my PS2

That's my line of thinking. Plus, if you drop a slim one, you better hope you are still under warranty because that sucker is going to be in pieces. I have an old, fat, clunky gizmo. However, it has its advantages... Namely, it's far easier/possible to mod.

All kinds. My fat, launch PS2 that I modded about a year ago is starting to wear down, it won't play CDs and doesn't recognize certain DVDs. My newer, slim model is running fine with no mods, and my used, cheap JPN slim is working fine. A little much to spend on one console, but it was worth it.
