I liked Crystal the most, and I wish they remade it for the DS or Gameboy Advance.

I only played the Red/Blue and Gold/Silver series, and between the two, I would have to pick Gold/Silver. I thought they were a lot more complete, stayed within the realm of reason (#of pokemon) and were really fun.

pokemon emerald was and is the best for the time to come . i hope that a version nearly the same to that will come out after pokemon pearl and diamond

I have to go with Red/ Blue. Those games are the definition of my childhood, and playing them brings back cherished memories.

Fire red is the best by far as in it you can get just any pokemon and its the only game with strong elite four to train easilyand the graphics are bad eitherP.S: its not really fair to include pearl or diamond as it hasn't even come out in english

My vote goes to Emerald. The first GBA series is my favorite series overall, and Emerald is a definate improvement over Ruby and Sapphire. I haven't tried Diamond / Pearl yet, though, so my opinion could change.
