well i don't have one on this comp. but i like norton 2005. do you guys know any free anti virus sites, i know norton isn't

I use mcaffee. It seems to work fine. I haven't had any problems so far after 2 years with it.

I prefer AVG, it's very good, updates often and best of all it's free! But I don't trust any antivirus software on my computer to stay up to date anyway so I scan at least weekly with Trend Micro, which I recommend to everyone

Panda titanium and Avast! antivirus aren't listed....The creator of this thread doesn't know a darned thing about virus protection....

AD-Aware works better an it is free!

Ad-aware isn't an anti-virus program.I'm with norton, and it seems to work fine, so I say Norton.

Normally I'd chose Norton over other.But, when it comes to the Memory Efficiency, I'd rather use AVG or AntiVir.

Norton and McAfee are bloatware, I'll never get another McAfee prouct ever again after a couple bad experiences. Norton Internet Security seems to do it's job a little too well, it's common for it to block things it shouldn't be blocking, even after it's been disabled.I like Avast! it seems to do a nice job and uses less system resources than Norton.

I can't choose between NOD32 and AVG. They are both very good. Their database contains much info about virusses. And both are lot smaller then symantec, I think that's a +.

hahahaha, you are all using HOME editions of AV...even if it SAYS "PRO" it is not.I am running a LEGIT copy of Symantec Corporate Antivirus. and if you do get a chance to try it, enjoy. that is all I can say. :yawn:

Omg...Norton is NOT the best AV!!! Norton has now become a huge mainstream thing that everyone hops onto when they need an AV. It's almost turned into Microsoft. The average person buys a computer, they get XP or Vista, and then they go Norton.I'm not average.BTW, there is nothing wrong with a home edition. The corporate edition for any AV is complete overkill unless you, well, have a corporation.Home editions are meant to be lighter in resources, cheaper, and for the AVERAGE user. But then again, I'm not average. AntiVir or avast! for me.P.S Thank you mods for changing the poll choices to those in my closed topic.

I'm pretty surprised, how people chooses Norton. Well.....norton is good, but it's not (does this makes sence?). Actually i dislike norton.The answer to the question of centuryThe Best antivirus us...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Your own hands. If you guys don't know how to surf net right, then i see why you need a good AV. Still, from all these choices, the best IMO is NOD32. Small, light and good (with using hands).
