Tomato sauce or chili. I don't like typical condiments. Ketchup burns my lips, mayonaise is too... well, meh, mustard only tastes good mixed with ketchup and I'm not entirely interested in trying salad dressings with fries...

I'm strange in that I prefer eating my french fries plain. I've never been a fan of ketchup, really.

apparently a majority of people eat their fries with ketchup! I was hard pressed to find someone else posting about eating fries with ice cream.
FRENCH FRIES WITH SOFT SERVE VANILLA. best thing ever. depending on the french fry. Some places just don't have french fries that are good.
I eat my french fries with ketchup or vanilla ice cream.

ketchup tends to take away from the taste of the fries itself.
best in my opnion is fries cooked in sunflower oil and then seasoned with cajun poweder

If I bought it as a combo meal with a burger or rice meal, I'd add the fries to the burger and rice meal. Otherwise, mustard, ketchup, and mayo combo is always good with a lot of finger food.

I know my mom goes for tartar sauce, and I go for either ketchup or plain. It also depends on where the fries are from. For instance, if they are from Red Robin or some other place with steak fries, I just don't have any ketchup at all. If is a place like McDonald's, I might have to use ketchup to wash away some of the salt that they rain on the fries.

For me, fries taste good if it's dipped in sundae. But I also eat them with catsup if I don't have sundae.

Ketchup isn't bad. Sometimes I do without. If I'm at a restaurant back home in the Northwest and they have special sauce, I use that, and sometimes I make it myself. It's just ketchup and mayo after all.

I don't mind having ketchup (or tomato sauce as they call it in my country) with my fries, but every time I get them, I always ask for some extra salt or chicken salt. That extra flavour really makes them more enjoyable imo. Works with hot chips as well!
