I like DDR better...I'm just better at dancing than button mashing. 
Plus, I get a better workout than if I played GH.

While I'm MUCH better at GH/Rock Band, DDR is probably more fun. You have to get into it a lot more, and the music is awesome. Plus it's kind of a work-out, even for somebody as in shape as me. Plus I don't like a lot of the metal in GH, but it does have some good songs.

DDR has been around for a long time so many people still like DDR's awesomeness. Although I do prefer Guitar Hero. Who doesn't like jamming out to a guitar to your favorite soundtracks? >:3

ddr by far. gotta say i am a techno junkie, though. so the tracklist on any rock-and-roll style game isn't really my taste.

DDR totally wins. I've been playing DDR for a couple years now and I've also tried guitar hero and what really annoys me (or more precisely bores me) is that the note sequence in guitar hero song packs are much more repetitive. I understand that it's normal because you do have to repeat stuff a lot when playing the guitar but it's definitely less interesting than a variety of step patterns.And as most of you have mentioned, it does offer some health benefits and less carpal tunnel;)

I like DDR only just cause when I start dancing I got all into it but with GH3 I think its just way too simple with DDR atleast I get more of a challenge

I love ddr if i get to play it for a while and have access to a shower after but for leisurely play i gotta go with guitar hero

I prefer Guitar Hero, partly because I have asthma and a bad knee (and thus can't play more than one DDR song at a time unless on easy, which sucks because I've played well on hard mode), and partly because I can get into Guitar Hero a lot easier because I like the music better.

i chose guitar hero eventhough i never got a chance to play it. just seems better to have a guitar in my hand, than stepping on the little dance pads. but because u move around more, it'll be a better game for those who get no exercise.

I like Guitar Hero better, because I like the music for it more. Trance and techno tend to get dull after a while...

i'd go with GH3 only because i'm better coordinated with my hands than with my feet. i got no problem looking like a fool playing DDR, but acting like a rock star while GH3, especially if there's a crowd of people watching, is much more satisfying.
