By far the Mercenary is my favorite unit, extremely balanced and and accurate weapon, with most mercenaries having good stat growths.Although eliminated in FE9/10 (Even though Ike is practiacally a Mercenary-type lord), I still think Merc's have the advantage.Favorite flying unit would be the Wyvern Knights, I used to be more of a fan of Pegasus Knights, but they are a bit too fragile for my tastes

I like to use Nomads/arch knights the whole hit and run thing and attacking from 2 squares away is something I've always liked

My favourite class MUST be Swordmasters. They are awesome! Awesome critical attacks, I don't use Assassins, Swordmasters are just awesome.

Mages/Sage win my favorite because of the flashy magic (Fimbuvter - sp? 
- and Foreblaze coolest by far!) And stat wise if they are fast then many normal units can be taken down since many have lower res then def.

Bersekers, every time i make a new game I always make Ross a berseker by ch 12. I just love his high dmg.

swordmasters are full of so much win. high evade, high crit, high hit, and high (for me, anyhow, since i spent hours on getting decent level-ups) str make them the ultimate killing beasts (i had two on fe6), and their animations are simply amazing. assassins fit into all the above criteria as well, so they tie for most beloved on my list.

really but in other games they have the worst defence and are only good far away attackingI've always been a fan of magic users. Decent enough defensive and offensie capabilities, and most weapons are 1-2 range.

My favorite unit has to be summoners. Many people prefer Druids over them but the ability to summon unlimited suicidal journymen is hard to pass up =). Second is the swordmaster and a close 3rd, Berserkers. Im not a big fan of assasins however, becuse there crit is a bit on the low side and a critical hit will kill almost anything in one blow anyhow, sooo yah assasins are lame

If I were to list the classes that I like...there's a lot...lolbut here goes:lord -> great lordcavalier -> paladinmage, priest, monk, cleric -> sageshaman -> druidtroubadour -> valkyriepegasus knight -> falcoknightwyvern rider -> wyvern lordarcher -> sniperfighter -> herothief, myrmidon -> assasinwell, that's my list of favourite classes...i think...hahaha

Wyvern Knights/Wyvern Riders are my favorite since they have the most movements in the game and they CAN FLY OVER ANYTHING except over walls in a castle but yeah... after them is the Lord/Paladin/General/Berserk just because they ROCK in offensive positions.
