When will Final Fantasy end?

The game won't die until FANS choose so, i think.Its a great market, its not like the stories are the same, so they can make countless ones, if it was run off after runoff of the SAME storyline, then yes, it would already be dead. But because not one "sequel" is actually ABOUT the predecessor, then the game just wont die, not until people stop paying money for it. I'll always be a die-hard FF fan though

I think that Echo best describes when it will end. Until then they will pump out that name for all it is worth. They obviously put a higher standard into the series development than others that they produce. Although, maybe not in the storyline aspect.Final Fantasy will end when:-Square Enix stops gaining profit from the series-Square Enix closes-The lead directors die/move on and the new directors decide to ditch the project-The series loses fans and SE decides it isn't worth keepingIn other words, not for a long time. I too am a little concerned that the series has thirteen main games and is still going strong, but SE is more interested in profit than the thoughts of a single fan.

I don't think it will over until no one care about it anymore. But it hardly be like that. I personally think that it will just keep going on even for the next generation console.

I think Final Fantasy is the one game that can pull off being a game that a grandpa can remember playing while watching his grandson play the latest version, its just got the lineage thing down

The series will end when 13 year old shut-ins stop demanding FF7 remakes and Sueenix finally runs out of games to re-re-re-release.

It doesn't it just grows nad grows and grows until the world is consumed by its awesomeness. (I'm a bit of a fan in case you couldnt tell). But seriously I'm pretty sure it never will. No one ever asks when will Mario, or Zelda, or Sonic. Why? Because everyone knows they wont. They're to popular a franchises and they make too much money. It's the same with FF.

I hope it lasts until im 30. Then have some Finale at the end with who knows what. Maybe some 50 day game play if you go straight through it

I think Final Fantasy will end when their famed musical composer passes away or decides to retire. But that's just my opinion.

Not me. But the new generation will. :(I think FF will run until your parent's generation dies, as it passes onto new hands, who will most likely jump the shark.Do you think that you'll be going out to buy the newest FF when you're 60?

Yeah i think that they will stop making FF when people are not interesting anymore of the game.It will probably end when people stop being interested in the series.

I doubt that final fantasy will ever end, since FF is mainly tactical game they could always make new charactersif they wanted. And there are so many FF fans so i doubt they will just stop making games

Haha, I wonder that too. Will there be a Final Fantasy XXXXXIII? How far will they go? Well in all cases, Final Fantasy won't be ending in a while. I prefer it that way.

It will stop released when all games over the world have a fine graphics beyond FF and a better storyline than FF,and a unique gameplay,and maybe the time will come soon.

As long as it keeps making money... never.And the thing is, there are sooooo many people who love Final Fantasy that it never seems like FF will go out of popularity so it won't ever go bust and so therefore will always be able to operate. I don't think anyone will mind that we may have a FFXXXIII as long as the game is good.Even if Squareenix ditches it, FF is so popular that anyone else will be willing to take it over and continue.So, it will keep going. Unless...Emulation and piracy becomes super easy and foolproof. Then purchasing games will be a thing of the past. Game companies will not make profit and video games production will seize altogether. NOOOO!!!Or some other super company launches an RPG series better than FF in all ways.

NEVER and i hope that there will be more title like the X et the VII sure i like the christal chronicles too and chocobo tales is really funny game but if some really good story like them can come back it will be really good !May be we can play with the son of lulu and wakka?
