yes i think the ds is to fragile ds of the hinges on the screen they could be stronger and the cameras on the dsi could have a glass cover on the hinge so my kids wont smash it with the stylus!!!!!

yes mainly the dsi because you can shatter the camera with a jab of the stylus but break the top screen and the hinges well if you break them you need a new ds if you can fix it but you will waste time and money!?!?!?!

I don't think that DS is fragilebecause I've "accidentally" poured a bowl of soup (hot soup, mind you) to my DS and it still worked properlyand I've also dropped it for countless time, and it still worked

i don't think the ds as a whole is too fragile but that hinge... if it cracks your entire gaming experience becomes a chore -__- hopefully there shouldn't be too much of a problem with the 3ds since they spent a lot of time working on making it more durable

This really depends on the "level of destruction" your DS suffers. Dropping it on the floor below you is quite different than accidentally dropping it down a flight of stairs. That said, I don't take care of my DS too well, but the thing's got some great durability, as despite me throwing it (I was in a drunken stupor >.>), it still works just fine. Can't really comment on the PSP, never had one :/

Yes, I do think so. Nearly all my friend's DS's are all broken (buttons, screens, hinges) and while I try to take care of my DS, my screen is still scratched :haha:

I don't think so >.< I'm one of the clumsiest people in the world, renown for breaking everything I get... but I've had my DS Lite for just over four years, dropped it more times than I care to count, and it's still going strong >.<

I've never had problems with my DS. I've dropped it a few times and never had a problem, I also bought it used.

I think this depends on the severity of like how you drop or accidentally do something unwanted on your DS. Like for example if you drop your DS screen closed, maybe just a minor scratch. (Hopefully) but dropping the DS while the screen is flipped open? It could snap your DS into 2 parts. Maybe that could be Goodbye DS, Hello New one. But in my opinion, The DS is quite fragile. Word of Advice: Take Care of your DS.

not too fragile, besides, your not supposed to drop it, anything you drop may break , all depends how/where/height it fell from.guss psp fell 9 times in good way and ds fell badly on 2nd time

I got my DS pretty much right after it was released and dropped it a couple of times since then (happens to me too much with basically anything >_>) but it still works. Doesn't seem like a handheld that's too fragile to me.

The hinge is a bit too fragile. It doesn't take much to snap the two parts from each other. I've seen some cellphones that have better hinges.

I have a DS lite (which got it's name due to the colour, didn't it? Now the stability?)I've knocked it around and dropped it a lot, but it still works after at least 5 or 6 years of use.

Well i personally think that the DS is too fragile . I dropped it 2 times and it broke .But the PSP is really solid , 9 times and it just has a scratch .

I've had the exact opposite experience with my handheld consoles. I've dropped my DS countless times its been working fine (I have the old fat ds), I dropped my PSP once and I messed up the screen :dazz:

No i dont think it that fragile because i accidently drop my sis ds once but it was fine. Well you shouldnt purposely drop any handheld gaming devices since they are small.
